I really want that to happen. That is one arrogant fan base. They think everyone wants to go to USCjr.

From the 5 minutes or so I've looked on other boards, Michigan State fans were worse.

Lol I can see that. When we had to play them in the NCAA tournament, they were calling Memphis a garbage city and thugs.

They've been saying a defender who goes to Temple won't get any national attention/awards or go to the nfl. That perspective requires not even doing thirty seconds of research or even paying attention to awards this year.

Don't be silly. I already said a decommit was coming. Memphis can still be #2 after NSD. I personally don't care because top 3 means you are bringing in some good players.

RE: **2016 AAC Football Recruiting Composite Team Rankings**
SMU is signing a kid using a term I had never heard of.
Blue shirt athlete– The practice of “over-signing” in the sport of NCAA Division I football has been around for a long time. However, until recently, colleges often worked through those over-signings by convincing a high school athlete to start out at a junior college and then transfer later on, or to delay their enrollment for a semester (“gray shirt”).
The “blue shirt” approach is basically the same as a “gray shirt” with one very significant difference. Whereas a gray shirt athlete is delaying their enrollment at the university until the Spring semester, a “blue shirt” will enroll in the Fall, and attend as a walk-on athlete without a scholarship for at least the first semester.
This will allow them to participate in practices, and perhaps even play in games as a true freshman, and then get a scholarship later on. As a walk-on during at least the first semester, they will postpone counting as an “initial counter” until the following academic year. In addition, if they come in as a non-recruited walk-on, this may present some advantages as well if they will be receiving non-athletic scholarships such as academic scholarships, or legacy scholarships.

Temple ended up losing WR Daelun Darien to Penn State today, however a few hours later we flipped WR Isaiah Wright from Rutgers who might actually be better than Darien in the long run. Faster and hopefully more of a playmaker

3* WR Dae'lun Darien flips from Temple to Penn State.
Temple replaces him with 3* Rutgers WR flip Isaiah Wright. Darien is taller, but not anywhere near as well built as Wright plus he's a bit slower. Wright is rated higher on all the recruiting sites and had offers from Rutgers, Ohio State, Maryland, BC, UConn, Cuse, and UMass. Darien had offers from UConn, Temple, ODU, and UMass.

So, kids are being recruited to be a "non-recruited" walk-on?

Kronke, Airraid and the others will provide us with great entertainment on that night
Meanwhile, until that happens they're poised to repeat as conference champs and another access bowl. Though their margin of error last season was somewhat thin, a talented, veteran squad returning their stud QB ought to be favored.

I don't know, but I think the loss of Eddie Gran will be large. I don't know if they retained their OL coach, but he's good and they won't miss the kid we flipped if he's still there.

Hiller is gone, we replaced him with JB Grimes, who has a pretty substantial coaching history and should be a recognizable name for the Pirates on the board.
Bailey won't be a huge loss as he was probably just going to be a depth add for our OL for the next few years, and he is from the Southeast, so I can completely understand why he'd want to stay closer to home.
