Meh, Tulsa is soft. The more physical teams in this conference beat them down. Not buying the legit thing.

I will say Cincy beats us down, due to a combination of good perimeter defense and the fact that we have hit-and-miss post game... I don't think any other team in the conference is an automatic 'L' for us... even SMU.

UConn,Tulsa,UC and Temple are the only teams left with a shot at the tourney. Hopefully we can get two in, we need those four to take SMU down for another loss and help themselves as Temple did this week

SMU 7-1
Tulsa 5-2
Temple 5-2
UCONN 4-2
UCF 4-2
Cinci 5-3
Memphis 3-3
Houston 3-4

ECU 1-6
Tulane 1-7
USF 1-7

Having swept UC, beaten UConn in Connecticut, and taking down SMU, Temple has to be the odds on favorite to get the top tourney seed.

Lot of basketball to be played, but they play UConn once at home and that's it of the aforementioned teams. They do play Tulsa twice still, who is seemingly hitting stride.

I predict the tournament seedings to look like this (SMU winning the conference IMO):

1) Temple
2) UC
3) UConn
4) Tulsa
5) Memphis
6) Houston
7) UCF
8) ECU
9) Tulane
10) USF

I really have no idea on 2-4. No order there would surprise me in the slightest.

Temple's RPI is still 88 with a forecast of 98. It's going to be tough to be an at large with either of those numbers.

Especially when the ncaa has passed on low rpi AAC in the past.

Yea - sorry to throw that in there tho. I've since deleted since its off topic. I was on realtimerpi and the rpiforecasting site right before I came to the thread and didn't realize this was regarding the AAC tournament.

I could have clarified that it was in reference to the conference tourney. Temple is a long shot to make the tourney unless the win the AAC conf tourney (obviously) or win almost all of their remaining games.

Challenge for Temple come AAC Tourn time is which team will show up?

Will it be the team that got blown out by nearly 30 pts at home by a Houston team that others have been able to beat?

Will they be the team that had a 34.8% 3 pt shooter (Coleman) that goes off and shoots 100% from downtown (7-7) and 100% from the field (8-8) like he did vs SMU?

Temple seems to be peaking at the right time...as they are doing it with defense, holding conf opponents to just 28% from downtown.

The bye is important, esp since we likely only have one team in tournie this year.

Based on current standings it lines up like this (if not sure who wins the temple/tulsa tie breaker at this point since there is no head to head yet but anyways....)

Thurs 3/10
(8) ECU vs.(9) Tulane
(7) Houston vs. (10)USF

Friday 3/11
ECU/Tulane vs. (1) Tulsa
(4) Cincinnati vs. (5) Memphis
Hou/USF vs. (2) Temple
(3) UConn vs. (6) UCF

If that scenario happens, I'd rather Cincy get the 3 spot and UCONN get the 4... I don't want Tulsa playing Cincy until the championship.
