Where did all these ppl come from. It looked like there were 50 ppl there and then the game got exciting and all kinds of ppl showed up. Do they socialize somewhere and then come out or what. Just an observation.

I wish I could have seen it, seemed like a very exciting game. Sadly, ASN's sub-chanels do not get to some of us. 03-banghead

I watched it on DirecTV 640. MASN+ I think. So it was available somewhere in your area.

I was at the game. There were a ton of kids groups and a lot of them were in the concourse trying to get concessions the entire first half. The student section did seem to keep growing throughout the game.

They do literally have banners hanging from the rafters for individual Rhodes Scholars. No snark or anything, that's pretty cool.

Think we have Nobel laureates and Pulitzer Prize winners too since it's a better place than the football stadium to see them.

To answer the original question the concession lines were pretty long tonight so it took awhile to get to your seats if you wanted food or beer. Also most people buy the seats up top and wait a little while to take the season ticket holders chairback seats that are still empty.

Glad you could make it out! Tudor is a fun place when it fills up and gets noisy. Rhoades and the team have done a good job engaging students to encourage attendance.

Thanks! Yeah, I was definitely impressed with the student section. Also noticed Rhoades kept pumping them up when Rice was on D late in the game.

There is some truth to the earlier statement about students showing up at the end in a close game. The basketball court is very close to several of the campus colleges (dorms), so it's not unusual for students to show up late in a game after friends text them and tell them to get their asses done to the court for an exciting finish.

That is just one of many examples of why having on-campis facilities is the best option. The Cam is literally right next to most of the dorms on campus and its very easy to just walk in even if the game has already started. It's the same for the Joan as well. It's right across the he street from the where the student housing is at Marshall.

The game was also at 7pm on a Saturday. Serveries are closed for Saturday dinner, so students have to go off campus for food. I'm sure some of those students were just returning from dinner.
