Looks like a cut-and-dry change for us. Gain one outlier, drop the other. Gain one Louisiana school, drop the other.

I wanted to drop ULM. They're a pain in the ass!

I meant that in a positive way... sort of. I think ULM has been sneaky good in our two years in the conference. I think Todd Berry did a pretty good job considering what he was working with. Their 2014 defense was terrific but it didn't show on paper because their schedule is murderer's row. The 2015 team went through a lot off the field and still fought us for a half.

I agree. Georgia Southern is fun to play each year. Hopefully, the next time we play we will have gotten back on track and make it a good game.

I wish that was the case for App. Have both FB only teams in 2016. Crappy. Drop Idaho add back ArkSt.

That doesn't make any sense. If Idaho and NMSU stay, we'll have 12 teams next year and be in 2 divisions. One would play everyone in their own division, and drop a team in the East.

League is working on schedules for both 12 and 10 teams in 2017 depending on the Idaho/NMSU situation. That means it's entirely possible a team you miss this year, you don't miss next year.
Not that Benson knows what the Presidents are thinking, but he seems to believe that Idaho and NMSU are on the way out. After hearing Idaho's admin. talk about leaving the Belt and now Benson talking about creating a ten team schedule for next year, you have to think something might be going on behind closed doors that we all don't know about.

Not gonna lie -- haven't heard a lot of encouraging things from the higher-ups lately. Holding out hope that Benson is out-of-touch with the membership (possible) and Idaho's president is an idiot (likely).
Anybody here actually talk with one of their ADs about this?

Not yet, but give Terry Mohajir time, he'll make his opinion known soon enough.

I have not, but our new AD is from Missouri and did big things there. I don't think he would be adamantly against NMSU and Idaho sticking around for a couple more years, but I also think he will look to make App prosper and look the best it possibly can so he can look good for when he wants to make moves to another school.
You never really know, though. These ADs and Presidents could all be pro-renewal one day and then wake up the next and realize that they want just the opposite.
