RE: AAC Football Recruiting Rankings per 247
Recruiting rankings are far from perfect we just got a commit from a 1st team juco all american left tackle, yet there's next to nothing on the internet about him. Latrell williams who is a 2 star wr recruit follows our former WR coach to miami and is instantly a 3 star on one site. Plus the handicap they place on smaller classes. I doubt we sign 10 more, prob more like 5 or so, but the ones we are in the running for are good quality 4 star corner kj sails, 4 star wr wells (uf commit), 3 star db mcwilliams (uf commit), 3 star o'lineman grayson, 3 star wr dukes. We also have several more weekends left so I'd expect a last minute surprise recruit or two.

RE: AAC Football Recruiting Rankings per 247
I think the composite on 247 is the best formula at the end of the day. It takes all of the most reliable people that work on this stuff and puts it together. I also think 247 does the best job of at least watching Hudl film on G5-level recruits and targets.

247 top classes as of now.

http://247sports.com/Season/2016-Footbal...erence=AAC

1. Houston
2. USF
3. SMU
4. Memphis
5. Temple

USF jumped ahead of SMU with the Watts commit, despite the fact USF only has 15 recruits and SMU has 23. If we sign any of the guys USF Mike talked about, we're going to finish at #2 behind Houston.

5 Stars: Houston 1
4 Stars: Houston 3, USF 2

No other 4 star AAC recruits according to 247

247 needs to stop using Scout for their composite

UCF is at 12 commits right now but by signing day it will be 20 or more

Thought this was interesting. Oklahoma top-30 player decommits from SMU, and now Tulsa and Louisville seem to be his top 2 choices. Has good size and put up good numbers last season without having much of a team around him.

Mutual decision. He gets to play the position he really wants and we get a great replacement.

He's going to Louisville

RE: AAC Football Recruiting Rankings per 247
incase anyone is wandering :) our top 2 recruits got huge boosts in ratings after dominating the all-american games

--everyone had ED Oliver a 5 star top 10 recruit except rivals (who had him a 4star at #60)
--everyone had Tyrie Cleveland a 4star top 60 recruit (top 5 WR) except rivals who had him #268 and the #45 WR

after dominating the all star games (ed won MVP of the under armour all-american game for his team) Ed is now a 5star on rivals #19 (still low but whatever) and tyrie is now #73 nationally (still low but whatever)

if ed oliver signs with houston he will now be the first EVER consensus 5star to sign with a G5/byu

and we lost a compsite 4star and im not sure why, d'eriq king was a composite 4star 2 weeks ago, he finished the season with his final ratings being a composite 4 star, he wasnt in any all-star games meaning their hasnt been any new scouting film, the only change is that he flipped from tcu to houston .. but that was enough for scout to downgrade him to a 3 star ...espn and 247 (Their ratings not composite) still have him a very high 4star so ill live with that

RE: AAC Football Recruiting Rankings per 247
I don't know how much any of you all know about Navy's recruiting process but the service academies have different rules since there are no scholarships.

On signing day, SA recruits generally sign something so they can be part of the party that their teammates are having, but it is symbolic only and non-committal. Any recruit who signs with a SA is still eligible to be recruited by any school and that includes prep school athletes.

Navy & Army do not release a recruiting class list until they arrive for the start of Plebe Summer & raise their right hands for the oath. Air Force never releases a recruiting class list (they don't even post their full roster of players, but that's another story).

So you have to take any SA recruit list with a grain of salt as unofficial until they are on the rosters of the respective team.

UCF is starting to climb after last night's commitment. Probably a couple more commits will be added by Monday-Tuesday

We will not have a great idea how far our class climbs till NSD. We have to keep it on the down low for certain prospects so other schools aren't alerted.

there is always the risk of losing 1 you don't expect & vice versa

After one of our coaches left and took an extremely under the radar prospect with him we know exactly how you feel.

RE: AAC Football Recruiting Rankings per 247
Memphis continues to surge up the rankings after 5 commits this weekend.

Bryce Huff 2* LB
http://247sports.com/player/bryce-huff-81186

Dustin Woodard unranked for now till 247 evaluates him.
http://247sports.com/player/dustin-woodard-62103

Coye Fairman 3* WR (question if he will qualify but Memphis might have worked a way for him to be on campus)
http://247sports.com/player/coye-fairman-80694

Memphis is number #3 now with 17 commits and could catch USF for 2nd place. I know the staff is working on flipping SMU QB commit David Moore.

Norvell definitely can recruit.
