ESPN's Re-ranking the NY6 bowl teams
I think this is pretty much as good as it is going to get for us. I do not think we will actually finish where ESPN has us now in the last AP poll next week. Probably a few in back of 7th.

We was robbed, I say we was robbed but I'm ok with 7 for now.

I think 7th is fair. Houston might be better than Michigan State but probably not the other 5 teams in front of them.

Here's a look at how CBS ranked all 40 college football games:

Campus Insider did the same thing:

I posted this on this board back on September 12:

I don't post here often but I wanted to stop over and congratulate you on your win. You have a fine football team. Much better than the Auburn team we played last week that is some how ranked #6.

Your games against UC, Memphis and UCF are going to be epic.

Good luck the rest of the season.
CJ

After watching the season unfold as it did, I believe Houston is one of the top 4 or 5 teams in the country.

RE: ESPN's Re-ranking the NY6 bowl teams
It'll be awesome to claim a AP top 10 finish. From all implications, we should do so, unless a number of teams that were behind us last week, and beat lower ranked teams in less prestigious bowl games somehow jump us. Michigan and Baylor, for example. Ole' Miss, as well. They were behind us, and played a lower ranked team, albeit in a NY6. Hopefully we don't get screwed, but articles like this coming out and putting us at #7 probably help matters.

Congrats on your bowl win CJ, the Cards definitely are going to come to Houston next year ready to play.

As for UH's ranking we are somewhere ahead of Notre dame/Iowa and behind Ohio State. 6-9 range is cool with me.

I am not looking forward to that trip to Houston. I am hopeful that it is another great game between our two teams. We are also traveling to Marshall next season as well. Whoever put our schedule together didn't do us any favors.

Good luck getting into The Big 12.

I would have had you at 6. Head to head against Stanford, Id take the coogs. If you can shut down FSUs run game, then you could have done the same to Stanford.
7 is damn good, but I think its one...maybe two slots too low.

I hope to see yall in the champ game next year. The AAC is gonna be rather nasty and tough next year. I expect to see a much improved Temple... a still venomous Navy and a dangerous Cinci and ECU. Houston will be the clear favorite but there will be 5 other teams in the mix for the #2 slot.

Stanford vs Houston would have been a fun game...but Stanford still have the most versatile football player in the country, as McCaffrey had 368 total yds...as he was such a threat in rushing, receiving and special teams.
