Bad day yesterday, but should be a top 5 - top 10 pick no question. He's got the size & the ability to make it at the next level.

Unfortunately for Lynch, Leigh Steinberg will screw this up if it is at all possible to do so. No idea why he would pick him out of all the options.

Why do people wish for that? Memphis is back to the full 85 max scholarship limits. We really just have to see how the new coaching staff and new QB do. We still give ECU all they wanted.

We'll be okay. Next year may be bumpy at times, but we've got a lot of QB talent in the wings. I think we still win 7-8 games next year, and more the year after. This admin isn't going to let this little momentum we have wane.

I don't understand the idea that some people here take delight when they think anybody else might fall back. That seems dumb to me. It makes much more sense that we all become stronger, beat the crap out of our OOC opponents, and keep taking the Access slot, and winning that game, too.

If a lot of us become strong, that makes the winner of the conference even more likely to take the Access slot, or even eventually get a shot at the CFPs.

Who wants to play in a conference where everybody else is crappy? We did that for way too long in basketball.

Not only that, but nobody takes time to see what is in anybody's pipeline, either. We aren't going to fall apart at QB. We have a 3-star redshirt freshman QB, Brady Davis, who has been groomed to follow Lynch, and we also signed a JUCO QB who once signed at Tennessee, and was just recruited by Texas.

Finally, we have a highly touted 3-star HS QB recruit, Keon Howard, who was a star in the AL-MS All-Star game, and is verbally committed. Assuming he signs, he could play WR or safety, and be a backup for either of the other two QBs.

None will be Lynch next year, but one of them, maybe more, will likely develop into a really good starting QB.

we were pretty close to mid-conference this year...didn't we finish 5th out of 11?

thing is...this is a very good conference.

It's nice to have a experienced QB to add with our two young QBs we will have on the roster.

Certainly true. But at least it's better to start with touted 3 stars. Our JUCO signee, Ferguson, is the #1 ranked juco pro style QB, and our redshirt freshman Davis was a touted 3-star legacy with looks from SEC teams. We have a 3 star freshman all-star QB, too, Keon Howard, assuming he still signs in February.

Out of those 3, I think it makes our odds of the normal crap shoot go way up. There will be an obvious dropoff from Lynch, maybe forever, lol, but one of those 3 should be doing okay by the latter part of the season, hopefully, or at least by 2017.

Mainly Memphis and mainly because of their dominate basketball run in CUSA. Had to endure a ton of their crap so it's nice to be able to get some shots in when we can.
