Are we thinking last years beating was just some kind of fluke?

Your teams lose to Georgia Southern last year was not a fluke. Georgia Southern has a long history of beating up on teams.

Georgia Southern has had a top-notch program since Erk Russell resurrected it 30+ years ago (with possible exception of Chris Hatcher "Air Raid" years).

If they beat anybody (see: Florida), especially in Statesboro, it's not a fluke.

No reason to overlook them except stupidity.

Agreed.

Georgia Southern may very well be the best non-conference team on WMU's schedule this fall. It should NOT be overlooked.

That said, while it will be good, this Georgia Southern team is not going to be as strong as last year's with all the changes the program has been going through.

I'm really looking forward to the Georgia Southern game. First FBS home game, and it's against a quality opponent. I bet the team will be fired up for some payback and it should be a great game.

RE: 2016 schedule
The thought of flying to Michigan in September has me excited. I'm split on whether we will be better or not next year. Even though we lost a little on defense, I think we actually may be better. On offense every one of our playmakers return, along with a couple of surprises. I think our offensive production will depend on how aggressive our new staff is...and also how dedicated we are in getting our passing game going. Our running game will be fine for sure.

Looks like GaSo is losing most of its secondary. Let's get it! 02-13-banana
