The A-10 has a small double header challenge event with the ACC--so they might be open to it---but whats really the point of that. A-10 games are really not much more attractive than AAC games.

We don't need a challenge just so we can say "hey, look at us---we have a challenge too!". What we really need is some OOC scheduling requirements and a commitment as a league to significantly upgrade our OOC schedules with more high quality opponents. We don't need a "challenge"---we need the league to require challenging OOC's. And we need to add Wichita for Olympic sports yesterday.

I couldn't agree more with the statement in bold above.

That's makes sense ... 07-coffee3. A basketball challenge with the A-10 or C-USA wouldn't really get me very excited either ..."So, I guess that explains why we don't have a challenge."

Based upon the comments so far though ... "it sounds like there isn't much of chance with he Big East because of bad-blood over the split-up and although the PAC-12 is available they simply aren't interested."

If you want to play BE teams ooc then schedule them, you don't need a challenge to play them.

I was just thinking of something that might give the conference a little more identity and marketing boost ... 04-cheers.

That being said, it would have been nice to get a few more Big East on our schedule this year. Unfortunately, it looks like the AAC is "O-Fer" against them this year.

UCONN still plays Georgetown.
