another one bites the dust...or the aquatic equivalent...

Gerald Home (October 18, 1950 – October 6, 2021) was a British actor best known for playing Tessek-Squid Head and the Mon Calamari Officer Captain Verrack in Return of the Jedi. Home died from liver cancer on October 6, 2021, at the age of 70.

Wild Star Wars Rumor Claims Harrison Ford Will Return For One More Han Solo Performance

Got the first 2 seasons of Mandolorian on DVD for a gift. Haven't had time to watch it yet, but looking forward to seeing it sometime this year. Still can't make myself watch either Episode 8 or 9 of the films. After seeing the debacles in the theater when they came out, I pretty much just stop SW with Episode 7, but I really enjoyed Rogue and also Solo, and wish they'd do a sequel to Solo to find out what happens.

The Mandalorian is outstanding.

I want Favreau and Filoni(along with Waititi) at the helm of all Star Wars projects moving forward.

Figured this thread was revived do to The Book of Boba Fett, just watched the second episode and it looks like it will be every bit as good as The Mandolorian. Really digging the flashbacks that take up most of the show. Seems like it will switch between where Fett left off in the Mando series and filling in what happened to him from when he’s eaten by the Sarlac in Empire till he appears in Mando.

Jon Favreau just gets it. Why these other clowns were given the reigns to the movies is beyond me to comprehend.

I hadn't watched Episode 2 yet. The first episode I liked although many "critics" didn't care for it.

It's like Ghostbusters: Afterlife, they downed it, but it was a good movie.

I'm not even a Star Wars fan but I absolutely have enjoyed The Mandolorian and Boba Fett is off to a great start. Rogue One was excellent and Solo was good. Really looking forward to the Ahsoka Tano series and the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie.

I'm a Trekkie at heart but I love the new direction of SW and the ability it has to bring in new fans such as myself.

I think Obi Wan is a series.

SW and even some of the Marvel shows have had great success with the series. Sometimes there's a ton to unpack in a story that a 2 hour movie can't cover, but 6 episodes at about an hour can..

I agree and it's what I love about the Marvel/SW tv series, they are able to go more in depth with the characters and their backstories. I think Black Widow would have worked better as a tv series than a movie.

Agreed. I mean I loved the movie. But a limited series like WandaVision would’ve been awesome

But all the shows this far I’ve liked.
