We just didn't t have it today. The 2nd half was as bad of a half I can remember for us at home in many years. Ga St deserves all the credit today and many of our boastful posters deserve what we get thrown our way too

Congrats State. You guys were hungrier all day and it showed. Tough for an Eagle fan to watch, but y'all deserved it. Rep the Belt in your bowl!

Congrats Georgia State. It's amazing the change that team has gone through this year since getting beat by Charlotte
It's great to have 4 bowl eligible teams in the Sun Belt this year!

Maybe the secret to having a really good finish to your year is to lose to Liberty. Both App and Georgia State had big turnarounds after those losses.

I wouldn't advise it...it sucked. But, today didn't...was kind of sweet.

Congrats Ga State. They definitely wanted it more today, no doubt about it. Today's game just thrust this 'rivalry' from debatable status to defcon 5.

I'm tickled that Ga State allows the SBC to fill its bowl spots. Not hating on App St or Ga So but I was hoping for at least one upset so we could fill. Ga State came through and USA put up a fight for a while. Good rivalries building is good for the conference!

this win today is the biggest in your short football history and i congratulate you on it.

very few teams have ever won AT statesboro (western did on the way to a nat'l championship and some ga so fans are still butthurt over that one) so what you accomplished today was incredible in my humble opinion.

but then again, i did call this win over a month ago. 04-cheers so congratulatory beers to me.

but mostly congratulatory beers to folks like my boy Pounce FTW. a classy fan if there ever was one. happy for you amigo!

Ahhh....'beed...thanks...deep down inside you're really a good guy aren't you?

Congrats to GSU. Your team has really improved, and it's going to be great watching Arbuckle in one last football game. You are peaking at the right time, and I must say, the way you did was thoroughly enjoyable. i was actually very impressed with your defense during our game. The Hubris was deep at Southern, and as thick as the water in Beautiful Eagle Creek.

I think that GS and AppState both learned how tough it is to try and beat a team fighting on its last game of the year for a bowl slot.

Great job Panthers!!!!!!!

Sorry for going off on a tangent the first time, Panthers fans. I've edited this because this thread's about you, not GS.

Congratulations on the win and on bowl eligibility! Now, go rep the conference and our state well in your bowl game! Wouldn't it be cool if the UGA and Tech fans had to live a year with the fact that GSU and GS were the only two bowl winners in the state of Georgia?

i'm a great guy. deep down inside and on the surface. some people just don't like the truth so they confuse that with me being a bad guy.

and i'm just as thrilled today with your win as i was yesterday when i first saw the score. sorry i didn't watch it. we were busy all day tailgating and winning a conference championship game and moving to 11-2 on the year. so i was already happy. but by god the thought of the amount of silence that had to be coming from their stadium near the end gives me much joy.

did any of the ga state posters actually go to the game? can they give us a breakdown on just how deathly the crowd was near the end of the game? was there any crowd left at the end of the game? it had to be delicious.

Was not there but got dozens of emails and texts describing stadium emptying in 4th quarter. Southern was in uncharted territory yesterday I think.

This is the kind of thing that finally makes you "legit FBS".

The key is for the loyal 7,000 or so who showed up during the horrible to convince the rest that they should have stuck it out and to get back on board for the long haul.
