Get it done WMU!!!! Pay the Admiral!

Nah, I'm not jumping, I'm going to row harder. My way. EXPECTATIONS will be high, that is for sure. NO MORE EXCUSES like the last three years.

How's that for using political buzz phrases?

Well done. Where do you fit in fiscal prudence and fiduciary responsibility?

Self sufficiency

It does seem very calculated. If they're that afraid of losing him they'd have cut the deal now in the office and not leaked it, from the Athletic Departments side anyway.

The more I think about this, it feels really contrived and planted. Much like a rumor which got going so strong that people posting here got in hot water a while back.

These people are very manipulative.

Reminds me of a Sinatra song:

"That's life (that's life). That's what all the message board posters say.
Your posting rumors in April, gettin' sued in May"

Tide of what? From where?

A Rising tide of cash. Either from other programs, other purposes, or greater donations.

I don't believe this story at all. I hope PJ stays a long time but WMU can only pay so much.

At this point I don't really care. If it was not this pissing match, it would be another one. Seems like a bit of revisionist history is going on, from both camps.

Pay PJ Fleck. Let's ensure some consistency in the program and continue to break down barriers (victories against ranked teams, consistent bowl appearances, MAC West titles, etc.)

ROW THE BOAT

If this is true, it's the best news for WMU football in a long, long time.

I happen to agree. Pay him. Expectations will be sky high and immediate. He doesn't meet them then he will be gone faster than you can say "Richt"

Were not talking about Coach Dantonio here ...Let some other school take a chance on him....Next year is no gimme and what is the return on investment for WMU its not like we jump to the Big and get a share of that leagues profits. So what if we become a big fish in a small pond the financial gain for WMU wont be that great in the MAC\ Let Fleck show the University why its in their best interest to pay him more than they currently pay him how much will WMU stand to gain in dollars and cents. How does Dr. Dunn go to the State Legislature to lobby for more state funding for WMU when they are paying their football coach upwards of 1 mil. LET FLECK WALK.

Rich people sure like spending money. As long as it's not coming out of University funds, I don't care.

I suspect if anything new is announced it will not be be funded primarily by the University. This is likely heavily booster driven as I know from periodic discussions that several key boosters are tightly aligned with PJ. I can't recall the details of his current contract but there are major commitments/funding from outside the University.
