99% sure Monken and Clark would give an immediate thanks but no thanks to Tulane.

Just beat Memphis with Kyle Postma and got 3+mill..

Sounds like he's moving up regardless.

Bless your heart.

Bill Clark is tired of Ray Watts. The lure of more money won't have to be force fed...

Why are you so high on shannon? I really don't want him. I don't want any more re-treads. I want someone who has succeeded very well on a lower level, e.g. dino babers or matt campbell types. Shannon was very mediocre, can't see him being a good hire. I'd settle for Geoff Collins, but he could easily be hit or miss as he doesn't have head coaching experience. I'm less than excited about most of the names I'm hearing. UCF has to get this hire right.

AAC>>>>C-USA, that is why I think they would jump at the chance to come to Tulane. Much bigger stakes here in the AAC. Don't get me wrong, you have a cute little conference and all but to really elevate your game as a coach you take it to the next level which is the AAC. I honestly hope we pass on Monken, I do not think he is good enough to coach at a place like Tulane or a league like the AAC but I just have a hunch we will make him an offer and if we did even USM fans know he would leave in a heartbeat.

Matt Campbell is off the board, and P5s will pick off guys like Babers and Brohm...

Sounding like Babers or Shannon for UCF. I think Collin's would have been great, but it really could have only ended 2 ways with him: disaster or success and gone the next year.

Better conference, more prestige, more money, that's how this works. Coaches want to move up not be stuck at nowhere schools.

Monken asked What dumb*** would write something like that?

If Tulane ever gets a coach worth a damn, Southern Miss could take him anytime they wanted, and for less money.
Coaches come to USM, win big, then get paid big bucks, except for EJ.
Coaches go to Tulane, and with few exceptions, blow up their career.

Ward was doing absolutely nothing in that game FYI, but stink it up.

I remember Odom being recruited out of Ada, Oklahoma. He was a good player for Missouri. If Memphis doesn't get Odom, I'm sure they'll have other good options. Fuente showed Memphis football's potential.

Babers would be a good hire for UCF. Quite a change from O'Leary!

Hmmm... Looks like I may have called my shot.

Babers saw UCFs potential up close and personal when UCF beat Big 12 Champion Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl. He is off the Briles tree.

It would be cool if Tulane took Kendal. Then the AAC would have Montgomery, Babers, and K. Briles... Off a tree that the University of Houston planted, when they gave Art Briles his shot as a D1 coach (thanks to the visionary Dave Maggard)

I don't know much about babers other than he is an art briles protege. Why do you think babers is a great hire?
