And they just extended his contract through 2019 based on the direction of the program He is a great coach and averaged 10 wins a season at Georgia with 7 Top 10 finishes so if I was Richt I would let Georgia stroke me the buyout check and go fishing for a while.

No, UGA showed a great deal of restraint in keeping Richt beyond 2010. It's not just getting curb stomped by Bama. It's having promising seasons derailed by losing to below average SCAR teams and Gator squads that are functionally without a QB. Ever since Meyers departure from UF, the Dawgs should have been running the SEC East. Allowing Mizzou to get to Atlanta also showed the inescapable truth; that UGA was woefully underprepared for big games. That ultimately falls on the head coach.
