RE: Almost Final Attendance Numbers
So, when Temple plays Army/Stony Brook/Charlotte OOC at home instead of Notre Dame/Penn St, will they be able to average more than the 32-33K they did this year? Those 2 games outdrew the other 4 games by about 10k.
Kudos to Memphis. I hope y'all keep it up with the new coach.

USF almost averaged 17,800 in actual attendance this year.
From Tampa Tribune:
USF vs FAMU 21,928
USF vs Memphis 14,305
USF vs Syracuse 18,039
USF vs SMU 15,157
USF vs Temple 18,470
USF vs Cincinnati 18,889
Average Actual: 17,798
LOL good thing for you UCF doesn't have to report butts on seats because as we saw this year's those numbers announced are questionable.
Maybe dancing girl counts for like 1000 UCF fans
But I really don't care if they are or not. Doesn't impact me. So as I said you guys can keep talking attendance smack , I'll take the 5-2 head to head.
UCF usually counts 12K students whether or not they are there, the rest of the numbers are usually accurate
Good for them.

I actually think those first two will draw very well, with the high from this year generating considerable hype for the beginning of the year. Awful schedule that obviously couldn't have foreseen this year. The attendance for the Charlotte game depends, probably, on what occurs in Happy Valley the week before. The Freshmen this year have been really enthusiastic because their first Temple experience was the dismantling of Penn State, so I think the student enthusiasm will be there.
Hopefully the brewing animosity with USF will lead to decent numbers for that game.

Memphis and Temple dropped sharply for that last game. It's too bad.

Do you think the record would be 5-2 if we were in the same conference all along? Do you think you being in a AQ BCS conference while we were in cusa affected the situations or talent levels at the schools during your 4-0 run? No, it doesn't matter and the result is the same either way, just was curious to hear your thoughts on that.

RE: Almost Final Attendance Numbers
Those two games against Penn State and Notre Dame really brought up the average for Temple. Both games were more than double any other game.

rain, cold, and knowing your coach is leaving makes it kinda tough...43,802 is the Memphis record for attendance.

Yes, Temple's numbers will be lower next year without those 2 marquee matchups. The hope is that a significant amount of new fans come back regardless of the opponent. We need fans to show up for Temple, not the opponent. (Same can be said of all t our American teams)

UTSA, which some were so gaga about, dropped to 23K this year. Turns out, even in a non-NFL market, no one cares about minor league football unless it's brand new or you are kicking ass.
I'm still bullish on UTSA football. They were terrible this year, and last. If we were that bad two years in a row, UH's attendance would be that low too.
If they are contending for their conference crown, winning ~8 or more games a year, they can probably draw in the 35-40K range, even in C-USA.
I know they are in-state competition for UH and I don't want them to negatively impact our efforts to build our program, but from a fan standpoint, as long as we're in G5, they have the ability to add more to a conference than Tulsa or Tulane, IMO. And it's a good road trip for UH fans.
