RE: Georgetown
These refs are not going to allow us to win this. Even when G'town pushes off, they call us for the check.

RE: Georgetown
Chuck isn't big enough to keep their big guy out of the paint. Need Bryan on him.

C'mon now. Don't go there already. Both sides are getting whistled. It's the new NCAA combined with our style of play. We are a CAA team. This isn't anything new.

Would be closer if we could make free throws.

RE: Georgetown
Their size is killing us on the drive. Can't finish. We're not going to win a low scoring affair with Georgetown.

RE: Georgetown
We need some size from our guard position to finish. Flemmings and Bryce can do it. Ponder, Ingram and Talley are just too short. They need to drive and kick out for the 3 against this size.

RE: Georgetown
Most glaring stat. UNCW 1 assist, G'town 10 assists. Too much one on one from Ingram and our guards. Small guards need to realize they are better of on the drive and dish today. Let your 3 point shooters get some chances.

If we can figure out a better offensive scheme, we're only down 10 despite the Hoyas scoring 12 more points from the three.

I feel like Keatts is going to have us come out with a better offensive plan in the 2nd. half. I expect to see a lot more passing out of the drive, and a large dose of Bryce and Flemmings...if they can stay out of foul trouble. We need at least 8-9 assists in the second half or we don't have a chance. One on one ball against G'twon is a loser.

RE: Georgetown
Still only 2 assists for the Dub. Hard to beat G'town hitting 8-17 from 3, when we're 3-7.

If they weren't so hot from 3, we could have kept this close.

Not really. They beat us in basically every facet. The hot shooting was unexpected and a big reason they won, but not the only one. Their quality bigs inside were huge for them to create those open looks. Once we started collapsing down on Hayes they beat us with their shooting. Not much you can do about that but say they were way better today. Inside, outside, they worked us.

Hell, they even beat us at our own game at times with an effective full court press and trap.

RE: Georgetown
21 of their 49 FG attempts were from 3. When a team shoots that many 3's, and is hitting over 50%, it changes the game. Every time we made a run, they answered with a 3.

If you want to see the difference, we've finally started to hit some 3's, and they've missed, and the lead has been cut by 14 points. This would have been a different game if they hadn't been so hot from 3.
