Got cold beer Stan, you coming? I've heard tales of some impressive drinking by some of you during the tailgate last year.

I wish. It is my 1st anniversary. I got a real great lady who puts up with a lot(Ga State bball & football tickets, Falcons tickets, and multigame Braves, not to mention the hobby car). We had planned this trip before the schedule came out. I figured we would play in October or on Thanksgiving weekend. Not this one. I would have scheduled us to leave Sunday instead. My buddies are making it down though. I wish our damn basketball schedules would be Saturday games. I'd come down and tailgate for that too.
I'll make it next time around though. Offer stands come next year for up here. Just don't touch the bourbon... that is for medicinal purposed only. 03-wink

Congrats! Don't mess with boss lady, it is never a good idea.

That's actually impressive.

But, throw the records out on this game. That gimmick techmo bowl offense better be running on all cylinders if you hope to keep our offense off the field. I expect a massive game from Arbuckle this week (It's his last regular season game, by the way).

You won't be there to see it so why does it matter?

Because I'll still be able to watch it.COGSCOGS I'll connect my computer to my tv and magic. I get to watch my GSU.

Just don't be alarmed when crowd noise and lots of people in the stands come through on your tv set. I assure you, it's all quite normal.

Ok, everybody. Check your ticket stubs... Who had 7 full pages before the most tired statement of all the GS/GSU back-and-forth made an appearance?

Who is worried about my travel plans? :D

What is funny about this game is 1) the GS obsession and 2) zero pressure on GSU. Nobody expects us to win. I do think it will be much closer than advertised. I also think Arbuckle has either the best or worst game of his career.

What do you mean no pressure? Gast has a chance to go to a bowl game if they win not to mention the joy of knocking off their one-way rival in their rival's stadium. If anything, the atmosphere in Paulson alone will put the Gast players on edge. There's tons of pressure on those players.

1. State has NOTHING to obsess over...nothing. Not even your converted tractor shed/weight room.
2. All the pressure is on State. You want to become bowl eligible, and half your roster feels snubbed because they're not playing in Statesboro on Saturdays.

If you keep it within 4 TD's, count it as a moral victory. 07-coffee3

I wish our in state urban startup blissfully ignorant rural hating school was in the same conference as us. The game week thread for that yearly game would-be epic.

So glad Ga South gets to plow a canoe through Ga State once a year and return life to normalcy.

RE: Georgia State @ Georgia Southern Discussion
Let me get this straight... GaSt wants this to be a rivalry because a rivalry gives them some measure of credibility despite doing nothing to earn it. And they'll point out anything GS fans say about them as evidence that they hold some sort of important standing in our minds.

And at the same time, they also claim that there is no pressure since there is no evidence that would suggest anything other than a repeat of last year's boat race.

Don't eat so much of that cake that you forget to have it, too.

Honestly, Miles has done enough this season to stay at GA State either way.

GA State has improved but unfortunately for them they are coming to Statesboro to face a Georgia Southern team that has finally hit it's stride.
