This wasn't even mild weather for Boone, this was close to August type weather. Also, I think he showed his hand as to who was possibly against the addition of App. The comments seemed pre-meditated for his first trip up the mountain which leads me to believe that he had argued this point previously.

You guys really did catch a break though. It would've been Western Illinois (2010 I believe) or Georgia State last season, or Georgia Southern 2012 (snowing in the middle of October). Praise El Nino.

HUD is not the only coach to complain about getting to Boone, he is just the coach that app and GaSo fans feel slighted by.

HUD was a dud this year that's for sure, but we will be back to solid play next season like we were the previous 4 years.

I've not heard anyone else complain about getting to Boone. I've heard some Texas State folks complain about App folks who complain about the amount of travel we have to endure. You know those Bus League comments... 05-mafia

Blake Anderson stated how difficult it is to get there as well. It would help out a lot if App would partner with Hilton Garden Inn for a full service hotel in Boone. The Cajuns and stAte have done the same thing. For programs who have not traveled to Boone often it's a hassle. The more repetitive it gets the less of a burden it becomes.

So because there is not direct flight into the mountains of North Carolina to play against a good football team, it is a hassle? You would like to think that the coaching staff would use that time wisely instead of saying "are we there yet?".

I forgot that's it's not kosher to complain how hard it is to get to Boone. It sure seems ok to complain about Idaho and NMSU for the newbs though.

They were sitting in a seat on a bus. Is that now considered hard? Jeez.

Never heard our coach complain to the media, if he complained at all. I would be mad if he did.
