Tons of bowl openings are probable! I want to see Illinois vs WMU in Detroit!!!!! PJ vs Cubit!!

Nah. Bill carried the program with class but now we are beating ranked teams and actually finished tied for first in the MAC West. These are things we haven't accomplished in a long, long time. The Admiral is seeing this thing through.

I would love Detroit!!! I really hope that's what we get. Was awesome when we played there against Purdue few years ago. Great place to watch a game, and sooooo convenient.

The MAC has five bowl games.......Camellia, Boca Raton, Potato, GoDaddy, and Bahamas. They'll most likely fill those five with the top five teams in our conference. We tied for first in the MAC West. We are easily one of the top five teams in the MAC. We'll go to one of those games. Get ready to travel, gents.

Why not though? It'd be great to have a bowl game here in MI! And playing against Cubit -- oh boy! We're already 1-0 against Illinois in Detroit, but this time Cubit would be on the other team. Would make for great forum drama! :)

There's going to be a lot other bowls, most likely the way things are angled -- where 7+ MAC teams will make bowls.

I agree it has it's merits, but I'd rather play a worthy opponent instead of some 9th place team from the BIG10.

I'd rather play Illinois (P5) with the drama, than playing E. Carolina.

I would say playing Marshall would be pretty sweet (historic purposes) -- or a Top AAC team (Temple, Houston, Navy, Memphis). But I would rather win against a P5 opponent than to get whipped by a top G5.

NO chance KB or Pres Dunn would accept a bowl game vs Illinois

There are 6 MAC tie ins. We are arguably the 4th or 5th team in line. So we aren't going to Detroit.

Anyone know the pecking order this year? I know it rotates now.

The "in line" part is trumped by good matchup and preferences nowadays. They'd rather put CMU or WMU in Detroit if there's an ACC or B1G opening, than sending NIU.

I'm like George from Wonderful Life. It just never works out for me to travel. Somehow ending up in Detroit would be amazing.

WMU in Detroit would certainly help the attendance for the bowl. WMU would bring a decent number of fans.

Recruits would not be impressed with Idaho and then Detroit.
Even the Benton Harbor High School team gets to go somewhere warm.
