I'll admit, there's a SLIGHT SLIGHT back of the mouth bitterness to it *IF* Temple loses to UCONN, sending S. Florida to the AAC championship game who ends up beating Houston.

That would have sent Toledo to the BCS Bowl.

I'm happy as hell either way, though -- just 99% happy if that happens!

A MAC Representing the conf on the big stage. Again, it would require a chain of events happening against the odds. Basically South Florida going on a run at the end knocking out the AAC. Probably too early to say that. :)

Checking in from Florida. Great win, row the boat. 7-5 is right where I thought we'd end up for the year. Hopefully Fleck stays around so we can put it all together and get the championship next year.

Not quite first. The first and only football coach to be hired away from Western to be a Head football coach elsewhere was Bill Spaulding in 1922.
Spaulding was the basketball, baseball & football coach at Western State Normal.
Went to Minnesota in 1922 before being hired by UCLA in 1925. UCLA HC for 14 years.
