Very deserving. Defense has improved immensely since his arrival. The defense will only get better because the kids are starting to understand his defensive philosophy. When it comes to athletics: It takes one year to learn it, two years to know it, and the third year you start to "understand" it.

The good thing is he will probably be here for awhile. I don't see him as a guy that wants a head coaching job - and would probably not get that chance at this point in his career. Nothing wrong with being one of the best defensive minds in the country in a league where offense dominates (well that is pretty much everywhere now).

Just needs to find a way to have his guys legally break the hands of OL'man that love to grab and hold onto jerseys....

If Campbell leaves I suspect Heacock may go with him.
