There are so many different ranking systems of note. The massey composite does a cool job of adding them all together with the same weight. One I keep an eye on for Turds and Laughs is one posted on SBNation week by week by Bill Connely.

There are some weird numbers in it like WVU in the top 20. Michigan at 3. Interesting enough, Arkansas is 20, Toledo 21, and BGSU 22. Whether people like it or not 20-30 is where basically every ranking system has us. If the AAC fans (who are becoming more humble) want to get all P!ssy, then they should have more teams ahead of us in all of these rankings. Memphis and Houston is behind us in most of them. Temple real close to us, sometimes in front... and Navy is the only real GREAT team I see, and that these ranking systems like from the AAC.

Navy might be a good matchup for us. Run oriented (read:exclusively) team and we do a great job against the run.

Hope you guys get a really good bowl. After you crush RTB, you'll deserve it!

But, you don't want to play Navy or any other Option Attack team. Too hard to prepare when it's the only time all year you see that type of offense. Even with the extra prep time for a bowl game, your scout team just can't simulate what you're going to face.

We did it in 2013, with a bye week to prepare. Reynolds is great no doubt...still, I'd rather play a run team than a pass team. Houston would be the worst matchup for our defense. Running quarterbacks who can throw have had our number. We leave the middle open enough as it is...

I don't think anyone in the AAC would keep us under 30. NIU and Arkansas are the two best defenses we have played and it will most likely stay that way. The reason ISU kept us under 30 is that we kept ourselves under 30.

I do think Navy is the best team in the AAC, but matchups mean more than talent. And talent at certain position's in certain schemes mean even more than talent overall.
Toledo 32- Temple 24.
Toledo 38- Navy 28.
Toledo 45- Memphis 41.
Houston 41- Toledo 35.
Toledo 48- USF 28.

Yes, we do. Ask Air Force. Yes, they got their points but I'd still rather face a running team with our run stoppers than a good passing team. Well, I'd rather play a team like BG that can't run OR pass but unlikely we'll see one of those in a bowl game.

Navy is not a running team.......

They're a Machine!!!!!!!

Toledo would have all kinds of trouble with that option.
