STEAL that play
Watching the game Thursday it was very frustrating, but why not steal a play out of the BG playbook? When they had two receivers split left, with a slot back directly behind the wideout (looked like a built in pick without the penalty risk) that play worked every time, it seemed for even a few yards. Put Braverman behind a receiver and to this "non coach layman fan" it WILL WORK...

Our defense didn't recognize it, by default on that side they were thrown into a man situation or what looked like blown coverage. I felt sorry for the safety, it really wasn't his fault.

04-bow Yeah noticed that too. I bet he would get some good gains, maybe even break one.

Stacked receivers is not a new innovation.

Purpose is to break up Press-Man coverage on both WRs, force some kind of combo or true Zone.

Steal the play Baylor used against Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl...a drop-off pass to the eligible tackle who rumbled and stumbled 30 yards for the touchdown.

Loved it! 02-13-banana

Fact is... WMU's defense held BGSU to their lowest total offensive production (505 yards) all season.

Nobody has figured out how to stop them this year.

Pete Lembo, Dan Enos, Jack Harkema, Brady Hoke, John L. Smith, Mike DeBord, Bobby Williams, any football coach at EMU in the last 20 years, Bill Cubit, Gary Darnell, Brett Bielema, Mike Price, Gerry Faust, Mike White, John Cooper....etc, etc, etc.

Good catch.

I intended to say Jack Harbaugh, but was thinking about former EMU coaches and Jim Harkema crossed my mind. He does not belong in this list, however, because he won a championship at EMU.

Thanks for providing the opportunity to clarify.
