Oh you meant as a coach? Oh my niece could outcoach him. Overrated as hell and the media would've crucified him by now if he wasn't one of the media darlings

They opened up a lot of holes and provided good protection.

They looked like the best line we have faced this year. No doubt about it, BG is a good team with a very good qb, but any qb would look good with that O-line.
Watched the game with a buddy from Minnesota and his comment was "how did BG lose 2 games this year?" I'd hate to face them in a bowl game.
All that being said, I think we saw BG near their best, and WMU at something less than their best. A rematch could be interesting.

They throw to 2 receivers" Are those 2 guys really good? Absolutely, but eventually they MUST get others involved. Last night, it looked like Terrell just turns and looks at either Braverman or Davis and if they aren't open, he has no other option. The announcers pointed out that those 2 at the time had 89 and 57 catches respectively and the next guy had 15. Defenses are going to figure out how to take them away in key situations, which is what I think ended up happening in the 2nd half last night.

My other thought watching the game last night.....and actually several MAC games this week. How embarrassing is it to see empty stadiums for these mid week MAC games? The Toledo/CMU and NIU/Buffalo games looked like there were 2000 fans in attendance. Last night, it looked like BG/WMU game started with 2000 and ended with a few dozen. I understand the national TV exposure and that ESPN is paying the MAC for the coverage rights, but it just looks so small time and lackluster when you see quiet empty stadiums for all of these games.

Yea at what point is the exposure no longer a positive? I've wondered about that, at least as far as recruiting goes. I personally don't care much how many people are in the stadium, I'm just watching the game.

What it all boiled down to was that the truly elite team won last night. And unfortunately, that wasn't the Broncos. BG was amazing.

BG is very good, no question. Passing attacks like that are hard for MAC teams to stop.

Babers had Garoppolo (sp?) at Eastern Illinois and now Matt Johnson. What happens when Matt Johnson graduates?

Babers will be coaching Illinois or Maryland.

Did anyone here happen to listen to PJ's post game comments after the game? Just wondering what he said, and how he handled it.

03-banghead WATCHING ON T.V. WHICH ONLY SHOWS 1 SIDE OF THE STADIUM AND BEING THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. i have been attending almost every game at Waldo for over 55 years so I think I know what I see. Before half time when it stared rainiing the press box side which you never see on t.v. was about 75-80 percent full. The student-band side was about 2/3 full. Both end zones put together about 20% full. Announced attendance was a little over 14,000 but I assure you it was more than that. Probably closer to 17,000-18,000. Every season ticket holder was given free tickets to pass out. Many of those were used and I would bet were not counted as sold since they weren't. .

04-cheers Handled it fin in my opinion. Said we had some costly drops. TRUE, Losing both Beavers and Kristoff from offensive line was costly. TRUE. Also missing wide open pass to Brogan for t.v. because under thrown. TRUE. We will learn from it and get better. Unlike those who question his every move i believe him when he says it. B.G. played a great game and we simply did not. Still almost gained as much yardage as them and lead in second half and came really close to only losing by 1 score. When you consider how many senior, and 5th and 6th year players they had IT WAS QUITE AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. This team still has a HUGE UPSIDE AHEAD OF IT. Maybe this year but certainly next year if we can stay healthy. We also obviously did not go real deep into our playbook last night.

He never cited that we didn't adjust to their pressure, and didn't counter their run game. Called out the drops, said BG was great, and spun how badly we got outplayed when the game mattered from 27-27.

I wasn't impressed.

You have NO IDEA how happy I am to be mediocre for sure one more year, while a 2 year guy at BGSU is going to be gone because HE WON. I think you guys value your man crush more than you go winning.

With those ticket scanners they use now I would bet WMU knows exactly the attendance.

I thought he said what I'd expect him to say.

Drops affected the game. We couldn't match their speed. BGSU is a good team with a lot of seniors. We are a young team, only three years in to rebuilding. They dominate the east division. Playmakers need to make plays. Coaches have to do better, he has to do better. Game didn't really matter. November still matters. We still have a shot at the west division. Row the boat.
