I didn't think we'd still be in the running for the MAC West title with two games left and controlling our own destiny. Fact is, we've almost always needed help to back our way in anytime we've had a shot. It's ours, if we go take it.

I don't see anyone in the MAC beating BGSU.

I honestly think we have a real shot against NIU and UT. The question is, can we perform at our best? Huge game next week.

If you looked at who we played, when we played them, and who's in November? We are exactly where most expected. Hopslam is spot on.

Hunt and Swanson are better than BGs RB. Elly is no Matt Johnson, but he looked better than ZT did this week.......by a LONG WAYS.

Have to beat NIU. UT in my opinion will be more difficult.

The more you look at it, the more you may realize NIU/UT/WMU/CMU may all end 6-2. I would bet WMU over NIU. UT over WMU. BGSU over UT.

Get over it. He is a second year guy and he's got his team playing better than WMU, with a less than stellar recruiting resume. 03-lmfao

SMASHED? 14 point loss, SMASHED? A loss is a loss, but "SMASHED"?

Is BGSU the best team in the conference? Yes.

I know we can't wait and see, but if WMU gets "SMASHED" in the next two games, and by smashed, I mean lose in any fashion, as a "loss is a loss" I will be upset.

At this point of the season, isn't WMU right where most people expected them to be?

Bruce Feldman tweeted that BG "whipped" us last night.

It's psychological. 41-27 just looks worse than, say, 38-24, even though the gaps are identical. The pairing of "4" next to the "2" looks more daunting.

^ Exactly. WMU stopped themselves on offense all night long.

Silly me that was a typo.

NIU is the greatest team of all time. Should have beaten CMU this year and last, along with 2011. Corrected.

During a lengthy officials review, the ESPN crew: "the donut shop is open 24-hours, so doesn't matter to us."

I agree. WMU is going to come out rebounding from a bad loss. Not that it was a loss against a bad team, but it carries weight with them. They beat NIU, BGSU beats UT... then UT beats WMU.

Everyone's tied @ 6-2 -- and we play spin the bottle to find the winner. :)

Actually, Toledo would go. Because against each other, Toledo & us would have a better record amongst all 4 tied teams (with one of the losses coming from the East). Then, it'd be down to WMU/Toledo -- and Toledo would go because they beat WMU.

That scenario? Makes the BUGS loss loom large.
