They (ND) already left. For their Olympic sports and the football partnership, the ACC is their best fit (though I'm still struggling to figure out what part of the Atlantic coast borders on Indiana); if that didn't work, they'd probably rejoin with the Catholic Big East.

Colorado in the PAC 12? Louisiana Tech was in the WAC. The Big Ten ... isn't (nor Big 12, but at least they can aspire to it). Lots of crazy.

Army already has their non-football sports in the Patriot League with Navy and some other institutions that place a strong emphasis on academics.

But where would the Falcons put their non-football sports, if they withdrew from the Mtn.? The Denver Pioneers are in the Summit League; is that a viable option for AFA?
