I didn't say make it great "again" I said let's make it great in general, CCU app and geo south are hands down better pickups then the F_Us and NT I don't understand why anyone is trying to disrespect the newbie unless you guys like eating crow since there was a good bit of smack about us yet I believe I see 4-1 next to geo south and App in conference this year?

Tip to Coastal Fans:

If you're a fan of a team that has recently joined the SBC, remember to never speak unless spoken to. Never have confidence in your team doing well in the SBC lest you anger the conference overlords (i.e. Txst, USA, ULL, and StAte fans). If you even so much as hint that your team may win a few conference games in its first year, your entire fan base will be deemed annoying ego maniacs and trolls and the other fans will consistently root for you to lose for no other reason than to be spoiled sports. Just giving y'all a fair warning about some of these posters on here.

This is childish advice. No one is telling anyone not to post, just expect people to respond when you put down their program (I.e. Georgia Sothern fans, this thread). That's a major problem in today's society. Not everyone agrees with you, that's life. We will defend our school as I expect anyone else to.

Not sure where some are coming from but I don't think one single TXST poster dissed on CCU. While I would have liked to see NMSU brought in as all sports, it would have been in conjunction with CCU. CCU brings a full slate of good athletic programs.

As for the App and GS adds, I may come off as hating and ranting a lot but I also have always known their worth. I mean, hell, the SBC brought us in and what have we really added? I'll tell you...just about nothing except a large university with a nice stadium that is being wasted by a crap coach. App and GS have had good programs for, like, ever (or it seems) and I applaud, am impressed and envy their success on the transition. What we had was 2 good seasons in 20+ years of DI ball and 2 DII championships in the early 1980's. Right now all are seeing the results of a bad hire hanging around too long. We have decent baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer and a track team on the rise. At least CCU is bringing a football team with a winning mentality; plus good Olympic sports.

I see them adding to the Together We Rise. Hopefully they'll counteract our mess.

Oh I have seen them all. I have also seen some USA fans like myself defending CCU. The posters that disagree with me all have reasons why they didn't support CCU. You don't have to agree, I don't. You also don't have to stay silent. My point was that you went out of the way to create a thread to take a shot at USA and then get upset when someone responds. Did you not expect that?

The old guard should consider the merit and the good fortune of having experienced programs in the SB footprint ready to make the transition from FCSs to FBS. If CCU can continue solid play across the board and deliver decent football attendance the three newest adds should compliment the conference nicely and hopefully gives the unique opportunity to enhance the conference brand/image/competitive position. The opportunity is indeed rare in college sports. Solid future for the conference with or without further attrition. IMO.

I got no problem with CCU and thought they were a good add.
