Bowers would never get a shot off if I were coaching against him. 3-13 from the stripe. SMH

By the way, as far as secret scrimmages go, apparently they are played in different formats and are not necessarily a 40 minute game. I heard Josh Pastner on the radio today discussing his scrimmage against Georgia Tech, which apparently took place in Nashville rather than Birmingham. He said that both teams played a total of 7 quarters and each quarter was treated separate from the other quarters. One quarter both teams would work on end of the game plays, while they might work on something different in other quarters. Memphis fans are saying they heard they lost the scrimmage to Georgia Tech, but I don't know how you can say that when they did not play in actual game parameters.

Does anyone know if UAB played Mississippi State in an actual 40 minute game or did they do something similar?

No clue about the secret scrimmage, but at the open scrimmage here they played it as though it were a game. This included taking media timeouts on the four minute marks.

The last one of the half, in both the first and second halves, was treated as though it were the end of a close game. They put guys on the line, the whole thing. I strongly suspect that both coaches would have wanted to do that again in the SS.
