That's one of the games where the tiger defense kept the tigers in the game despite ole miss having the ball offensively for 2/3 of the game. If the tigers allow that to happen this year, it will get ugly.

2014 game stats:

Paxton Lynch 13 of 31 for 81 yards, 0 touchdowns, 1 interception.

Sam Craft had 3 carries for -16 yards and 4 receptions for -1 yard.

Tigers as a team had 13 first downs, 3 for 16 on 3rd down conversions and 104 total yards offense which added up to 3 points on the scoreboard.

Time of possession: ole miss 43 mins, memphis 23 mins.

Still surprised how lopsided the action in that game was.

I think because it was close, Fuente l,aged it close to the vest, figuring, why tempt fate. Perhaps that was a mistake, but even last year, even with a good but not as good as many here believe...see several of their other games...defense we played pretty poorly.

Would be stunned to see that again. Lynch plays well, they act too aggressively, we get many big plays and win. Simple as that.

We pay too much respect to the conference affiliation and the nice upset, instead of the norm...Vandy and Florida...and we lose.

This is a big opportunity for Paxton to demonstrate his professional potential. I believe he will be up to the task.
