Why would he ever be eligible? He took extra benefits. He should be permanently banned. As long as we allow this to continue the worse it is going to get. Should be permanently banned and the boosters involved should be permanently barred from taking part in anything having to do with the program.

The ULL scandal is an offshoot from the NCAA's investigation of Ole Miss. ULL cooperated with the NCAA in their NOA while another school was redacted and noted for being decidedly "less cooperative". Care to guess who the redacted school is?

I can remember when Cal's kids had the fur coats and all the escalades parked out front of the finch.

You make the kid permanently ineligible BUT require that the school give him a four years scholarship anyway and have it count against their recruiting numbers. Then permanently ban the booster involved.Allow teh kid to have everything he would have gotten while playing but not eligible to play. If the kid quits then that scholarship is placed on shelf as if the player was still using it.

Personally i would charge the player and the booster for conspiracy to violate tax laws. Put some teeth into the penalties.
