The rest of us are hoping for a long term extension in Murfrees

He's 5-3 against Western and 1-1 against Brohm.

beat Western! Like I said...Super Bowl Game

I like how you removed Franko's post in your response to make it look like I was suggesting Stock's record against Western should be reason for keeping him when all I was responding to was the notion of a Western fan asking for an extension of a coach that's beaten the Toppers 60% of the time.

Stopped watching any news about 6 years ago and I also stop caring what politicians say or do ....

over that six years I've been a lot happier and the world is still here and Western is still the muts Super Bowl 03-lmfao

Congratulations on the win and on amusing yourself with cut and paste.

Love the rivalry and respect your program, we'll get you next year.

Thankfully I see Houston, Temple, and Toledo coaches as the type USC will seek. Rich Rod might also get a look.

Always ready to throw some shade at other programs at a press conference but it was always good for a chuckle. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't end up in a broadcast chair before long.

it's like bobby knight retiring.....there was a love/hate with that guy....

Unsurprisingly Kirby Smart is the Vegas betting favorite at 5/2.

Kirby Smart 5/2
Shawn Elliot 3/1
Justin Fuente 4/1
Ed Orgeron 4/1
Jeff Brohm 7/1
Matt Campbell 8/1
Mark Hudspeth 8/1
Matt Wells 12/1
Mark Dantonio 20/1

The Gamecocks have been so terrible recently that the AD would probably hire Shaka Smart instead....

I cannot see either USC program hiring Brohm, surprised he is so high ranked with the odds....Maryland is the one I am worrying about now that Brohm might take, its going to be a crazy last few months....

I'd be surprised if Doc left at this point. Now, there are grumblings in the WVU camp regarding ALCOHOLgerson. THIS might worry me.

RE: OT: Spurrier retiring
good. this douchebag is the most overrated coach in the history of overrated coaches. not to mention that he is a psychological terrorist, and a destroyer of young men. you can't say the kinds of crap he says in post game interviews on national television about 18 and 19 year old young men, and expect them to not fall apart.

want proof? as a heisman winning qb, and in all of his years of coaching, how many even marginally successful nfl QBs have been spurrier productions? zero. most of them wound up in rehab or working at payless because he destroyed them. guck this fuy.

good riddance. college football is better off without him. espn can go find another dork to nibble on. I wish him much unhappiness.

parents that sent their sons to play for this sinister, self-obsessed a$$hat should have been immediately indicted for child abuse.

Oh, I think he'll probably leave at some point, but right now...at this point in time, I don't feel as though he feels that his work is done here.

I get your point very clearly. We all thought Pruett was going to stay for good. Houston wanted him as I understand it and he turned them down, so we thought he'd never leave. Then 2005 came along.

I don't know if the NCAA sanctions had anything to do with it or not, but he wound up at UVA.

Spurrier quit on his team. Period. All the other stuff being said is just crap. A quitter should be treated as such. His players deserved a coach who didn't tuck tail and run when times got tough.
