at least this is how i picture it. during the first half anyway. especially with his trickeration against middle.

credit for photo work goes out to the very talented deecee from hilltopper land. i sent him a photo and asked him and he delivered for me.

Jeff Brohm is a very talented coach, WKU is going to have to pony-up, if they want to keep him.

most of us figure he's gone. it's the reality of our level. you have to look no further than arky state. success and someone will snatch him up. we've lost too many basketball coaches to the big boys to think otherwise. and football is actually even worse than hoops about losing a coach.

but i'm at the age (55) where i enjoy the now. i'm not going to get angst over something i have zero input or control over. just enjoy this year and hope our AD and president make the right decision after he leaves. my choice would probably be Helton.

Or is that hypnosis the staff put on our defense putting them to sleep?

Beed is right though. Enjoy the now, because you never know what tomorrow brings. Since taking over New Orleans in 2009 and winning 10, we are 32-35.

don't get me wrong. i think about the future. but i make sure to enjoy right now. i've lost a best friend and a brother. it hammered home that we only get one life. no do-overs. enjoy the hell out of it when it's good. don't let it eat you up when it's not.

and i can't believe my boy deecee isn't getting any love for the hella photoshop he did putting the game controller in brohm's hands for me. when he ran that second trick play saturday i turned to my buddy next to me and told him to see if brohm had an x-box controller in his hands calling plays.

it's fun watching him call a game. i'm surprised when middle won the flip saturday that they deferred. i'd never give it to us first if i win the flip. not sure what the % is but it seems like we score a lot on our first drive. i'm sure wkuyg has it on a spreadsheet somewhere.

I caught the controller in his hands but most of these people don't know Deecee so it flew over their heads.

Same here the older I get the more I enjoy today and try not to worry so much about tomorrow. When you get to the age that just about every month you see someone who you grew up with name in the obits it makes you think about life a little different.

Enjoy what you have not what might could be....of course that is a lot easier when you are winning. :)

beed I do have that stat just not on this PC

we're the same age amigo. i don't consider 55 that freakin' old. now if you had asked me in my 20's if 55 was old i'd have told you hell yes....ancient. but not so much anymore. i'm in pretty good shape so i'm going to enjoy the hell out of whatever time i have left whether it's 30 more years or 30 more days.

pretty sure i'm going to make that FIU football game and head on up to the basketball tourney that follows it. if i can afford something i'm going to damn sure try and do it.

as for folks our age showing up in the obits. very true and you see several in their damn 40's. i always wonder what got 'em when they're younger than me.

i sent that photo to western's legal counsel today and asked her to forward it on to coach brohm. she LOVED it. said she'd pass it on for sure.

I'm 61 now. 9 years ago next month I had my cancerous prostate removed and when you hear that big 'C' word, it changes your way of thinking. I really don't sweat the small stuff, and try to make every day special!! My Hilltoppers made my year special last Saturday by sending those muts back to the boro with their tails so far up their a$$ it'll take a month to find it!! 03-nutkick04-cheers03-nutkick

That is CLASSIC! Could be the best WKU picture Ive ever seen. I'm gonna make a copy of it for sure. If Brohm goes, good for him. He deserves it, and I'm not gonna be one bit upset. The powers that be just have to find the next great coach for us. I'm 41 with a little sense btw.

with all the vacancies that open up every year i'm sure someone will come calling soon. if we keep winning i can't imagine him being here next year. i'd love to keep this style offense. i asked someone if helton is too young and they said no. so he's a natural to me to slide over.

but knowing our president willie could be on his way back if he continues to spiral in tampa. you gotta remember he wanted opie pelphrey when ken pol pot mcdummy mcdonald was fired. i trust todd. can't say the same for our president. and i love pretty much everything he has done since he arrived on campus. just not sure i trust him on this.

all credit for the photo work goes to deecee from haven. i sent him the photo and asked him if he could modify it. he did a great job on it.

Not sure on Helton but no doubt beed, Brohm is already a hot commodity...I can really see Illinois making a push for him....I would rather have our coaches wanted though then to just wallow in mediocrity to average....

I had though Jason Michael would make a solid young HC in college, but not too impressed so far by his stint as Titans OC, hopefully they get going, Mariota is a stud...

Helton has the pedigree, I suppose. Hopefully we could (and probably will have to) keep it in the family. He gone.
