Have any freshmen made an impact for your team so far?
Since we haven't been doing the freshmen of the week threads I'm curious as to who the impact freshmen of the league are so far.

I believe Penny Hart may still be the leading Freshman WR in the nation.

Who is Penny Hart? I assume he is a panther? True freshman or red shirt?

Warren Wand (RB) comes to mind.
Has shown moments of being an incredible threat.

Wand is impressive but not any more impressive than several on the defense, who have made strong contributions( DE Griggin Riggs, NB Justin Clifton, LB Tajhea Chambers, DB Chauncey Mason, and DL Dovonon Ransom).

I think what Penny has done for GSU this year, would have to be the biggest contribution by a freshman in the nation, out of any conference, honestly.

Wesley Fields getting PT and contributing in a backfield as good and deep as Georgia Southerns is as impressive as any.

There is that kid at TAMU, but other than him you're right. He could be the next Albert.

A true freshman starting on the OL is almost unheard of so he gets my vote.

That is a good point, that is also true of Penny. He did mainly get his snaps from Donovan being hurt but he played well with him back to. Talented wide receiver core at State.

USA has had two freshmen start games, one at DT and one at safety. Unfortunately the DT sustained a serious knee injury in that first start. The safety started for a player that wasn't available but shod be his backup for the rest of the season. CB Jalen Thompson has played extensively. He's practically a starter.

It bodes well for that young mans future. That is NOT an easy area of the depth chart to go for PT over upperclassmen.

Bull Barge has been playing a lot at LB and on ST as well. That kid is good.

Mason has barely played. Chambers looked great but was knocked out early in the second game for the year. Clifton looks legit in a backup role and should be the starter soon. Ransom and Riggs look good. Wand has been impressive in a prominent role.

Parker Davidson True Freshman Kicker. Started off questionable but has been getting the football through the goal posts the last two games.

Not what I wanted to hear on Barge. With a name like that, the kid was born to play LB.

Wish we had offered him.
