We still run it down their throats. What I don't understand is why we don't get some of the receivers some carries in the running game. We seem to never run triple option much anymore. A reverse would be a TD any time we use it.
To pass for the sake of passing makes no sense to me. We seem to have more luck when someone packs the box breaking the big one with no second level to contend with. We should pass when we can't run at all.

Absolutely agree. It comes down to Ruse is trying to branch out for the sake of making himself more marketable I think. We are Georgia Southern. Don't need the pass. He's just not use to having a team that is built and bred like we are. The passing has kept these two SB teams in the game this season.

We do need to pass. No team can be completely one dimensional all the time.

This.

It ain't the 50's. You've got to have a functional passing game. In all of our championship years in FCS, we averaged 100+ ypg passing, which allowed us to be more effective on the ground.

If you don't have the ability to pass, all 11 defenders will be stacked along the LoS, and then nothing we do will work.

Need to pass to take advantage of people loading up the box. Remember, we are not playing FCS ball anymore.

This is why GT has issues.

Not saying no passing at all, but at least make the other team demonstrate they can stop the run then take what they give us. If they can't stop it, do what we do best.

Sorry if this is a repost, but GS Radio spoke of a fan being treated at Malone Stadium in the 2nd half. I'm really hoping everything is okay there?

I heard that a guy fell through or toppled over a temporary fence and went down hard onto concrete from about 5-6 feet up... Heard he landed on his head and wasn't moving much.

I was watching a replay of the Iowa State vs Kansas game of FoxSportsSouth last night, and. Georgia Southern was mentioned as one of the teams so far this year that hadn't scored a touchdown pass to a wide receiver.
