He did not get cleared to play until a week before the season and was going to play WR until Benkert blew his knee out a week before the season started. They moved him to QB and they have been getting him up to speed with the offense...Should be the starter going forward. Last week was his first decent amount of playing time.

When they first saw him in practice many of the players an coaches knew right away he could be a game changer but they had to give him some time to learn the offense.

While that is all true, that is the reason why he shouldn't have started the Towson, Florida, and Navy games. He should have started today. What he can rush for 170 yards against VT but we're not sure if he can handle SMU's defense? He damn sure better start next game. I will lose my mind if he doesn't.
