Kim Davis' Secret Meeting with Pope
Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis says a private meeting with Pope Francis has inspired her -– and given her a renewed sense of purpose.

“I was crying. I had tears coming out of my eyes,” Davis said in an exclusive interview with ABC News.

“I'm just a nobody, so it was really humbling to think he would want to meet or know me.”

RE: Kim Davis' Secret Meeting with Pope
I'm willing to believe that one of the arch-conservative homophobes like Chaput in Philly could have gotten her into see the Pontiff, where she would have been one of probably 300 people he saw for a few seconds.

Doesn't change anything really. She belongs in jail unless she complies or resigns. And 80% of the American people still think she's wrong.

And she's still a joke as is her claims of 'Christianity'.

Heard on TV last weekend..
"What would Jesus do? According to Kim Davis, 'Everybody'".

The Vatican has confirmed the meeting but didn't offer any details.

Difficult to estimate the time-frame on these things. But sooner or later, the pope's liberal groupies are going to demand some concrete action to go along with the sympathetic-but-vague-sounding words and phrases. When that doesn't happen, they will turn on him. It's unclear if Francis would care about that (I doubt that he would) but it could damage the RCC.

I like the Pope. I think he is bringing much needed reform and accessibility to the religion.

Good for the Pope!

It's disappointing he chose to hide his support because of its perceived unpopularity.

I think he has been very open about his stance on "the gays".

Poor Joe the Plumber. His 15 minutes came too early to meet the Pope.

This.

I figured that he could also have met with the Duggars, Duck Dynasty, Chick-Fil-A, etc.

Wouldn't change the fact that Ms. Davis is wrong in the eyes of the law and the overwhelming majority of Americans.

72 percent backed her going to jail. http://www.christianpost.com/news/poll-m...om-145453/ By the way the Christian Post is NOT a liberal or pro-marriage equality website.

Here are some more polls. http://www.pollingreport.com/civil.htm

Now its entirely possible that amongst white, male, evangelicals in Marsha Blackburn's district, a majority might support discrimination against LGBT persons and legal nullification. With regards to the legal nullification, they're just following in the footsteps of their grandparents from the 1950/1960s in many cases, and those folks were following in the footsteps of their forebears 100 years previous to that.

But you guys are in a small and declining minority on both counts.
