Someone please.....
Someone please... Tell Fleck that those away uniforms are absolutely HIDEOUS....
Some call me a "Fleck apologist" here... and maybe so... but holy $hit do those uniforms look awful... and why do they look awful? BECAUSE THEY HAVE GIANT OARS ON THE BACKS... that is why. I can get on board with the Row The Boat philosophy as it relates to just that... a PHILOSOPHY... but not a damn GIANT addition to the uniforms... the helmets... the stickers on the helmets, the compression under shirts... FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS SACRED IN THIS PROGRAM... just back off a little... please!!!!!
At some point there has to be a limit to how much we can ALL take with regard to this ... mantra. At some point I can't imagine the players don't start to wonder if "coach" has gone a little too far... We are 0-2 so far with our wonderful oar laden away uniforms... BURN THEM!

I'm not a fan, either. I've liked most of the new uniforms over the last 3 years, but those did not look good.

Agreed.
I'm just so pleased we are wearing BROWN and legitimate gold again, I have looked past the silly "Row the Boat" nonsense. Frankly, however, I'd rather have "Row the Boat" than black, which is NOT and NEVER has been a Western Michigan University color.

Yep, RTB stuff in media promos and locker room speeches are fine to an extent. But I don't want to be reminded of oars through every minute of a 3 hour game. Not a huge fan of it so integrated in the game day experience.
They were all over the shoulders of our Potato Bowl unis, but those were so small that hopefully most viewers just thought it was a thatch design.
Do love the return of brown, though.

Agreed. I like most of the new uniform general designs and color schemes, but the oars and RTB stuff are too much. The white unis with oars on the back are horrendous.

I felt horrendous after we debuted new uniforms and stunk the place up down at Georgia Southern.
Having said that, though, I am glad Fleck trotted them right back out and we were able to wash the bad taste out of our mouths with a more respectable performance in them.
I remember MSU with the silver uniforms and getting waxed by Duke. They only wore them once more against Oakland that year.

RE: Someone please.....
I'm generally in agreement with the other posters in the thread:
- A return to brown and gold uniforms has been great.
- The fewer oars on the uniforms, the better (preferably none).
I'll add that I'm not a fan of the tree helmet stickers.
I do find it kind of strange that for all the different uniform combinations we've used over the past couple of seasons, I don't think we've once used the gold helmet with the brown ghost Bronco logo, which would arguably be the best possible look. Could it be because that's too close in design to the helmet designs of Darnell and Cubit? Who knows. I think it would make for a good look, though.

I thought we used that combo once. And it was good.

I may be wrong, but I don't remember us going gold helmet/brown ghost bronco logo at any point in the past couple years.
IIRC, last year at Ball State, we used the opposite of that (brown helmet/gold ghost bronco logo).

I love the road uniforms with the exception of the oars . Mostly white with brown/gold highlights looks sharp though.

When the oars overpower the Bronco, something is out of balance.

I'm all for the subtle tree helmet stickers. Different, unique, and not flashy. The oars on the uniforms get a "WTF?" reaction from everyone unfamiliar with the football team.

RE: Someone please.....
Is THAT what those things are??? Subtle trees? Is that the kind of wood the oars are made from? Just trying to connect the dots here. But then, I'm still trying to connect the dots between "Go Broncos" and "Row the Boat".
Oh, wait! *lightbulb moment* Maybe it's the wood from the subtle trees that was used for both the oars and the walls of the stable where Triumph hangs out? Yeah. I'll bet that's it.

Nah, its chemis-tree. It is all part of Bronco-nese! "Constant change at the root of the family. People look at a tree's trunk to see how experienced it is. No one can see the root system of a tree. You see the trunk and the leaves, which are the family. How healthy the root system is how healthy the tree is."

Seriously????
Um ... OK then. Whatever works, I guess.
I think Mr. Whinny needs to pick up the Cliff Notes version of Bronco Esperanto.

As they should! That's the next uniforms -- "WTF" next to the oars. "Worst To First" :)

First time I've ever audibly laughed at something Todd posted. What is happening to me?
