Communivercity
Someone educate me please. I will be attending the game tonight with my wife, and it is communivercity night, but I have never been to one of these. I thought it was all gratis, but read on mlive that it is by invitation only. Beyond the confines of my own mind I am apparently not important enough to be invited, and thus I am wondering if there is any reason to be getting there early for the communivercity stuff. Please help.

I always thought anyone could buy an additional ticket to enter the tent area. Is that not the case?

RE: Communivercity
You'll need a pass to get in to tent city. Some of the invites are from WMU but most are from local businesses who give their purchased block of game tickets and tent passes to employees, clients or prospective clients. If no separate tent pass, very unlikely you can access the tents. A game ticket will not access the tents and I don't think tent passes can be purchased separately.

Still usually a good tailgating environment, but yeah you can't get into Haymes Field (a.k.a. tent city) without getting tickets in advance.

Are there other areas beyond the tent area for the general public? I had a total misconception of what that was. Being a "commoner" stuck in steerage is very depressing for someone with an ego like mine. Lol. I guess we can hang out by the dumpsters and gravel for scraps.

Go test drive a car or contact a local realtor about buying a house. Then ask as if it's an afterthought, "Do you have any ComU tickets and infield passes?"

Always got mine from JaQuae Realty.

I'm sure lawyers do their share of ass kissing, but as a citizen I don't fear the judge. I fear the ambulance chasing lawyers fishing for any frivolous lawsuit they can get their grimy hands on.

That's why we need anti SLAPP laws. You can sue a ham sandwich.

Some of those lawyers have a penchant for drama and outrageous behavior.

Well there is such an abundance of lawyers if your not allowed to sue a "ham sandwhich" there might not be any work for you ....especially if your skills are not quite up to par. Of course its a waste of everyones time but someone gets paid.

That's why there's a need for ant SLAPP. Corporations or even individuals with the resources can go after and have their way with individuals who are forced to defend themselves at relatively great expense.

Especially the ones who are totally on their own, a drop in the bucket to some is a big impact to the normal person. Waranted or not.

It's quite the sham in my mind. A tool for the rich to control the message.

You need to get a pass from some business who is sponsoring tent, usually realtors, banks, John Dunn.

BC, you are a big shot over there. You better not have a fist full of tent tickets and not telling me about it.

I know how to get into Waldo without a ticket...but Tent city I haven't figured out.

Walked into the MSU game without one person asking to see my ticket. Probably a way to do it at the tents.

I guess it'd be like coaches hanging out on the field with refs before the game. Suddenly the refs' Why did the Chicken Cross the Road jokes become hysterical - lol.

You should tell purposely bad jokes -- to gauge their responses:

Q: Who created french fries?
A: A stupid French artist!

Q: Why did the skeleton have no shoes?
A: Because he had no money to buy them!

Q: Why does a monkey keep a secret?
A: They're Bananas!

WMU FAN: Here's some breakfast (hands CMU fan a plate).
CMU FAN: Hey! There's worms in my food!
WMU FAN: No you fool....... those are sausages!

If they start chuckling at them, then the joke's on them. :)
