Wow... Squeaking past FCS Villanova and blowing out Army by 5. Yup, you sure shut us the hell up. I'm ready to bestow "Coach of the Year" honors on Diaco.
But seriously, Congratulations on the win, Husky fans.
I didn't even know who they played until this post. Saw comments saying it was a nice OOC win and then I see it was Army. Like a second FCS game. Congrats.
When your preseason last place conference team avoids bad losses, I'd say it's a pretty good win for the conference. You can no longer blame the "bottom" of the conference for screwing up your G5 New Years Bowl game bid. It's all on Cincinnati and the other AAC "front-runners" now.

I don't think anyone is thumping their chests. If they are they are idiots. If we can get 1 win the next three weeks we may sneak into a bowl but that's a very tall order.

Yup. From what we've seen from Houston and Temple, you'd be hard-pressed to find remaining AAC schedules more difficult than the one UCONN is up against.

Navy and USF at home are probably must wins as well as Tulane on the road. Other than those 3 we need to pull at least 1 major upset.

dude...you beat an fCS team and Army. LOL
I mean...come on man. When you play some real teams I will pay attention.
But hey, least you are 2-0 I suppose....so you got that going for you.

While DefCONN may have set himself up for your response, the only W Cincinnati has is against Alabama A&M. While this may change tonight, clearly, right now, you have no room to evaluate other programs' quality of wins...

The only thing missing from his response was telling us UCONN fans what a lousy coach the Huskies have. Otherwise, his response was not only typical, but expected.
On to Missouri!!

yeah but I'm not bragging or asking people what they think of UC either...we beat Ala A&M....big whoop. lol
And I disagree...I can judge quality of wins on any team. Beating Nova (FCS) and Army doesn't add up to much. Like I said, at least you guys are 2-0 which is nice but come on...its nothing to get real excited about. If UC had the same schedule I wouldn't be on here bragging let's put it that way.

No bragging. UCONN caught a lot of heat for losing to Towson and Army last year. All that was said is that UCONN won the games they should win, and now, the top programs in this conference can't use UCONN as the scapegoat (ie conference weakness) as to why they didn't surge to the top of the G5 Access Bowl poll.
