Personally I loved the old days when much of the east coast schools were independent. I know that those days are long gone.

Those were the good days indeed. That said of all the major rivalries I used to enjoy as an outsider, before I grew cynical of college football and basically quit watching A5 games, the WVU/Pitt rivalry was never really one I got into. I'm not disparaging it, I know it was a big deal, just never really drew me in.

And yet Texas and aTm still haven't renewed the series.

I would've used the SOT tag honestly.

This series between bonghorns and the a&m farmers won't restart until the bonghorns are good and ready.

Which means not for a long long long time... I give it 10 years, if that.

They should play every year...period.

I can't say I root for either of those teams, but I do enjoy that game. Its a shame what realignment destroyed good rivalries. I doubt I will watch a Pitt game until the rivalry is played again or they play UC.

Basically the whole stadium at Morgantown chants "Eat S**t Pitt!" the whole game.

Agree 100%. I will watch WVU games because I have lots of friends who are Eers but the traditional rivalry loss is a tough thing.

I am glad UNC and NC State are willing to play my Pirates! Playing Duke and Wake has never mattered to me in football. Now Charlotte and App St. are FBS, I would like games versus App St. Charlotte is TBD.

Would be great to see Cincy ink regular deals with Ohio State, Ohio, Michigan, and Michigan St. Regional OOC games should be a goal for every American team.
