Everyone moved up except for SMU and Cincinnati (drops) and Memphis (no change). Props to ECU for appearing with a ranking, after being unranked last year. Tulane jumped 13 spots (largest increase this year).

Memphis will never be ranked. We don't have a med school and many students are in programs involved with FedEx which call for them to take a semester or two of classes for work. This hurts our numbers.

I wish their system didn't punish those who work to put themselves through school, or we'd be much higher (25% of our enrollment is part time), but great numbers all around for the AAC. I'm curious to see how we compare to the Big 12, MWC, and CUSA. I'd bet we're comparable to the Big 12, if not better.

Edit: Average for the Big 12 is 117.2, average for the AAC (omitting Memphis) is 120.5.

Sucks that we were at #181, dropped out and now at #194. At least we're back in.

Strangely, SMU seems to alternate years of moving up and moving down. I suppose it speaks to how close schools truly are.

All of the schools in our conference do a great job educating their students.

Well, it's progress in the right direction. UCF was 173rd last year.

Just wait until the new library is built. And I was thinking the same thing regarding Drexel, that school is a mess right now. Attendance is down and acceptance rates are up, people are starting to see better value at a school like Temple. We'll pass them soon enough.

Graduate enrollment was the likeliest of culprits for ECU's drop. With the budgetary issues plaguing the med school and the climate towards teachers/education ECU's graduate numbers took a hit.

Speaking of Brody, now that its finances are straight and it isn't being used as a toy for political posturing, it moved back in to the #25 Primary Care Medical School in the country. Keep in mind that 2012 ended Brody's 10-year streak of being in the top 10 in the country for primary care ALL because of this financial BS, but it's battling its way back like us Pirates do.

Also, not sure if anyone mentioned this before, but Washington Monthly named ECU the #1 "Best Bang for your Buck" University in the Southeast. The rankings are based on the net price of attendance, the university’s graduation rate and whether students go on to earn enough to pay off their loans, according to the magazine.

Every year I question these rankings. Northern Illinois was dropped from Tier 1 status to unranked this year for some reason.

NIU is a pretty decent University, so I don't know what could cause them to drop out of the rankings.

I'm good with it. Moved up a few spots overall and still the #19 public school.
