I can't think of anything more important for our athletic department right now than to have a kickass well attended year of football. For many reasons.

I'm as pumped as anyone about the upcoming season and have sky high expectations.
I guess my concern is that if there are some stumbling blocks along the way, local support reverts back to the age old it's-Memphis-what-do-we-expect routine.
Not trying to be a miserable about it. It's just that bad, old habits die hard.
Keep heads out of the clouds and feet firmly on the ground. . We got a lot of breaks last year with balls bouncing the right way in every game except for Houston. No doubt we will have a very good season. Should win the west, but just as easily end up with a 7-5 regular season record.

1 D-1 win in 3 years to 3 years later back to back winning seasons would be incredible!
We have gone from a team that as CJF said when he first arrived would not hold decent eye contact with him to a team that now has swagger. I am happy for the young men on this team. They are part of something special and are having fun. Here's hoping this team goes out and makes a very strong statement this year. Go Tigers!

The faces will be long, some of you will be very unpleasant (more so than usual), some will be calling for Fuente's head, some will blame the loss on Pastner.
