No one is criticizing Crawford. Great kid and fine player.
I hope the administration is as committed as Crawford and we will find out soon. Pulling the plug on this particular coach would prove that they are looking out for the best interests of the basketball program.

Therefore he is delusional. He thinks we have been against him from the start. When in fact he had more support the first few years of his career than any coach I've ever seen here. Therefore he is delusional. He thinks we want the team, the team by which this city has identified for half a century, to lose. Therefore he is delusional. I feel sorry for him.

I think that pretty much says it all.

If you guys don't believe there's "fans" wanting the team to lose, you're not paying attention to what's posted on this board.

There's plenty of that.
To deny it, is to have your cake and eat it too.
As a Pastner "hater", you are talking out of both sides of your mouth.
And, climate what it is, you figure to get little push back.

That's how bad it is.

What will be the comments on this board when a regular season game against sisters of the poor U looks like that "fan fest"?

I am very interested in the crowds this year. Reseating a couple of months ago was eye opening to say the least.

KJ should have stopped after saying nobody had to show up instead of questioning fan's loyalty to the school. After all, we had to hire his daddy to get the services of him and his brothers.
--------------------------------------------------------------

http://www.commercialappeal.com/sports/t...08161.html

"It was not usual (or) what we're used to, but it was a great event," K.J. Lawson said. "A lot of people came out that's really (behind) the team. I thought it was really genuine. You had a lot of family, a lot of friends, a lot of people that's going to be in your corner the whole year, even when things go bad.

"I appreciate anybody that came out because I'm grateful for that, because nobody had to show up. You see the real fans that are out here and we're going to see the fans that are just fair-weather. You know who they are."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

But Keelon Lawson made it clear last week that if he were to get a job at a college outside of Memphis, then K.J. Lawson would almost certainly decommit and follow him to that school. "With loyalty to Josh, I would ask K.J., 'Would you want to stay [with Memphis] or would you want to go with me and Dedric?'" Keelon Lawson said. "But with us being a close-knit family, you know what the answer would be. He would say, 'Dad, I'm going with you.' So, of course, K.J. would go with me, and then Dedric, and then Chandler."

This is too ugly to contemplate. Gotta just turn it off and put everything into the season being successful. No other way out, around or through.

Please - enough with the conspiracy theories. People follow winners, plain and simple. Fuente started from about as low as you can go in D1 football and is now a winner and being nationally talked about. Pastner inherited a nationally-recognized winning program, great recruiting potential, and a great supporting fan base, and now the program has dwindled down to getting mostly JUCO's to fill the roster and nowhere to be found in the national media. I have supported and wanted Pastner to win from day 1 but those are just the facts to this point. I truly hope we have a really good season, go to the NCAA's, and get this program back on track but I'd be lying if I said I believed that will happen.

More details for the Select-A-Seat event will be announced later."

I like this part. Which one of you are giving up their tickets. I will be looking for a couple of good seats. Please post the seat numbers you're giving up and if they're good seats

I like this idea also. All the fans that say they are going to give up their tickets until Pastner is gone should post their section and seat numbers for those fans that have wanted to buy tickets for years. This way when the program is turned around with or without Pastner. We will have fans that really want to be true tiger fans of the program and not just when we are winning. Lets see how many of you will actually post your section and seat numbers. Go tigers.

I really enjoy when people that don't have tickets or give to the university like to tell me what it takes to be a good fan.

I have had tickets for 30 years an I have not missed many games since I moved here in 1958 and that has been for football also. I have already bought my BB tickets and donated for this year. So does this give permission to tell you that you might be a fair weathered fan because I really do enjoy being a true fan.

Fuente has exceeded in exceeding expectations. Beyond that even. Many knew BEFORE Pastner got the extension that he was NOT a good coach. Some back in 2011.

Expect such a comment from you since you cannot counter the facts.

Other than the "fact" minor league baseball attendance is low (shocking) in Memphis what other facts did you provide? Like i said, maybe one day Memphis will get rid of all the apathy and achieve the level of greatness horn lake has reached.

No major attendance drop in Sacramento. But nice try to divert the real subject. Memphians are apathetic in nature and follows the "in thing: until it's time has passed and then moves on. You have not provided anything except smartass remarks to counter that fact. Which for the most part is your M.O.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramen...Attendance

Thanks for playing.

Additionally they have been really good for the past decade. People like winners. Put a good product out there and Memphians will support it. Doesnt make us any different than almost every other city out there. Clearly the exception is horn lake.

since you no longer want to discuss this can we discuss the BS ending to that NASCAR race yesterday? Pissed me right off that Jr. got screwed like that.

You know who you are and so do the players.

Markel needs to worry about what he's doing and not about the fans. I was a fan 30 years before he was born and will be long after he transfers or graduates. Nichols pretty much made the same comments last year as did Nick King. It's simple. Most fans are tired of Josh Pastner. And THAT is why only 400 or so showed up yesterday. Not because of football, not because it wasn't publicized and not because of no rapper

At least you don't waiver on your opinions like some here. Going to be really easy to revisit some of these post at the end of the season.

Nobody bad mouthed Crawford. He's committed to the program. Hopefully the administration will commit too and go in a different direction at seasons end.
