Women's Soccer (8-3-1), who has not lost a match since August 30, is now 47th in the RPI. Men's and Women's polls come out later today.

We moved up to # 18 in the Men's Soccer Coach's poll (up from # 22).

Elon is # 10 and Hofstra is # 23.

We did not receive top 25 votes in the Women's Poll.

Great year for the conference as a whole!

Tonight's Men's soccer game against Charleston was moved up to 6 PM and will be played at Legion Stadium due to the UNCW Soccer Stadium's field conditions. The weekend rain and the aftermath of the Women's game on Sunday left the field in pretty bad shape. This will ensure the teams are playing on a safe surface.

Men's soccer drew 0-0 with James Madison on Saturday. Tonight at 7 PM they take on # 2 North Carolina on the road.

Seahawks fell to UNC, 3-0.

Tomorrow night's big match with # 13 Elon (10-2) has been moved to Ashley High School.

Elon is 23rd in the RPI while UNCW (7-2-2) is 31st.

Anyone know the reasoning for this? Seems strange to me to have a big conference game moved off campus where students are less likely to attend and negate a home field advantage. Is the field still in bad condition?

I understand it's pretty tore up after Saturdays game + all the rain.

Makes sense to try and save the field if we're still in contention to host the CAA tourny this year. But if they're trying to keep a home field advantage they should have a shuttle to Ashley and back. This way the freshmen living on campus without cars are able to get there. Could also build up the hype some.

Absolutely. And their reward is beautiful weather the next 5 days, meaning the field shouldn't require much extra maintenance heading into the 2 home Women's matches this weekend.

the toughest thing this time of the year is getting new sod to take, especially with the cold nights that are on tap for the next week.
