Not so sure your analysis is totally fair to TXST. Did you see who our losses were against? Chisum doesn't hold back in OOC to get the team revved for conference play. It wouldn't be the first year they went into conference play with a losing record. Last year they were 7-8 heading in and did just fine. May not be the same team, talent wise, but I think they'll hold their own. 5th ain't happening.

You don't have to tell me about the Karen. I'm well aware of her body of work. And alos trust me, I hate putting UTA ahead of Texas State in anything.

Of the five wins, one was to a SWAC school, one was to Sam Houston (preseason 6th in SLC) and Lamar (preseason 8th) and one was to a 1-11 South Dakota State. Only the UTSA 5-set win did anything for me. TXST should have beaten a mediocre Indiana team and would have in past years. Ultimately, it was the straight set losses to SMU and TCU, who historically aren't good and have played weaker teams on their way to a winning record. SMU has two sweeps on the season with the Bobcats accounting for half that.

As you'll notice, I put Little Rock higher despite a losing record. They have played far tougher competition than the 'cats and had a better showing.

I agree. Little Rock has played solid competition all year. Their schedule really isn't comparable to Texas State's.

Troy took the first two sets against AState tonight, but that only seemed to make us angry. We won the last 3 sets all by 10 points or more.

We finish our 12 game season opening road trip 11-1. Home Opener is Friday.

App beat USA 3-1 tonight.

Troy must be kicking themselves after this weekend. Two-set leads on both ASU's and lost both.
