Thankfully all our AAC east games are at the end of the year. Hopefully the replacement is up to par by then. 1-3 OOC and a lost to Navy still gives ECU a shot in conference since we catch SMU and Tulsa out of the west.

ill be honest im kinda really sad...ecu fans have hyped him up for a year and half now...i kinda was really looking forward to him

hope he gets well soon and comes back stronger

the bright side is that he will likely get a medical redshirt and when he finally gets on the field he will have the same eligibility but a year wiser and and another offseason under his belt..if you are looking for silver lining

but really that does suck

Feel terrible for the kid. Hope he makes a full recovery so he can fulfill his dream of being the starting QB for ECU down the road.

I think Blake Kemp will do fine. Glad he at least has a little more than a week to practice as the starter.

He has 23 days, one warm up game, and what will likely be the most unfriendly environment he will play in all year to get him ready for the games that count.

John Jacobs 6'2" 220lbs FR

Jacobs is not going to play unless complete disaster strikes. He's not ready at all. Keith has plenty of talent but coming off Tommy John surgery and he's missed 2 weeks of camp with a foot injury. Kemp is the only guy who's been healthy and here, but he's the least talented by far.

This is the first season where I haven't really kept up with training camp and all. Why do you say Jacobs isn't ready at all? Has he at least shown flashes?

I hate to any news like this no matter the team. I pray the young man will have a full recovery and be able to get back to his team next season.

I think he's shown some flashes, but he's so raw passing the ball at this point. Then toss in the fact that he's a true freshmen and probably not ready physically or mentally.
