Another point if Kemp is the replacement. I believe he is left handed. When left handers throw the ball the rotation is the opposite of when right handers throw the ball. That is most important to receivers who are not used to an opposite rotation. Initially they will find the balls more difficult to catch. Hope Kemp spends a ton of time with his receivers. ECUHOO

Last time ECU had a fill in QB all he did was go on to win two CUSA championships. It's a tough pill to swallow but certainly not the end of the season.

He was never a flashy QB, but he got the job done. I'd like to think that all of the QB's on the team now are more talented, so I have no doubt they can all execute as well as Pinkney did.

The entire team and coaching staff lost those games. MAYBE you can put the Kentucky game on Pinkney, but it was Holtz's play calling that put him in that situation.

The Arkansas game was just abysmal, but Pinkney was very good though the entire game (just one interception I think). And Hartman...

Memos high school team won 52 games in a row and 3 State championships in Arizona..Kid has some moxy and is very tough...hope he can fill in at this level..

F*ck Florida (I switched the Fs so its not cussing). They are an unknown quantity. Whoever the QB is the team around him hasn't changed and will good if not very good so I expect to be a tough out all season regardless.

He threw a pick 6 and another pick me that resulted in a field goal. It only came down to kicks because of his screw ups.

Can someone enlighten me on Kemp? I have heard he was a decent JUCO QB and should be OK for ECU. I have also heard he was a last minute add that had no other offers. Any information from ECU fans is appreciated.

Lefty (Thankfully there's time for the receivers to adjust) good legs, adequate arm, had a year to learn the playbook. My worry is all with his head.

I've been watching CC footage of him and he looks good. Pretty mobile guy that can throw on the run. Of course, these were just his highlights and he was facing CC competition, but with our line and receivers I think he'll be fine.

Well the answer is both. He was a very good JUCO QB in terms of stats (threw for about 350 ypg and at a completion % of 65%), but he also had no FBS offers and we signed him after signing day because 2 HS QB's stiffed us in January of that year. There are things to like about him, but serious questions about his arm strength. It's probably not the most important thing in our offense, but I'm concerned it's too weak for the FBS level.
