Prediction of American finish 2015
American Athletic Conference

East Division

1. CINCINNATI (11-1)
The offense will be deadly, but will the defense be able to hold the lead?

2. Central Florida (9-3) Will be 2-2 in non-conference play, and lose at Nippert on Halloween.

3. Temple (8-4) P.J. Walker is ready to be a star, and #11 defense from last year will continue to dominate. However not enough firepower to get by UCF , Notre Dame, Penn State or UC.

4. East Carolina (7-5) Too many offensive holes to fill in my opinion. Although I'm not looking forward to UC's trip there at the end of the season.

5. South Florida (3-8) Too many questions on offense. Continue to struggle.

6. Connecticut (1-11) Diaco's projections will come up short. Too many holes on both sides to fill. Going to be a long year.

West Division

1. Memphis (11-1) Experience returns in all the right places, and the Tigers seem to be firing on all cylinders this year.

2. Navy (8-4) Navy returns a Heisman quality QB, and will look to run their opponents into the ground. I don't see anyone in the west division except Memphis who has the defense that can stop the Midshipmen.

3. Houston (7-5) Plenty of talent on the team, but a history of coogin it will come into play. Could have more wins if they don't beat themselves.

4. Tulane (3-9) Not enough talent. The coaches need to find a way to get more talent on campus to play football.

5. Tulsa (3-9) Too many question marks about this team. Can they score? Can they stop anyone? There won't be much Golden about this season.

6. SMU (0-12) What is there to say about the Mustangs? They were awful last year, and I don't see any improvements to warrant a turn around this year. They have nearly an impossible OCS, and a difficult AAC schedule. If they win I will be surprised.

AAC championship

Do we have a lot of young, unproven players? Yes, unquestionably, but we have PLENTY of firepower.

Did you really feel the need to list players to make your case?

I said they don't have enough firepower for ND, PSU, UCF, and UC. Temple is being built to compete in the AAC , but aren't ready for the uc's and UCF's of the conference e

You are very wrong. There are very few teams in the country we can't compete with. ND, Penn State, UCF and UC not among them.

Both had coaches that would rather be at Notre Dame?

RE: Prediction of American finish 2015
East Division

1. CINCINNATI (14-0) - perfection
2. Central Florida (12-0) - Good enough to go for a 3rd straight AAC crown, but Cincinnati's wins were so impressive they were awarded 2 bonus wins.
3. Temple (11-1) - Refs give one game to Notre Dame with a bogus penalty.
4. South Florida (10-2) - It finally all comes together. Get on the BUS!
5. Connecticut (9-3) Diaco's projections will come up short. But still a massive turnaround.
6. East Carolina (2-10) - Wins vs Towson and Florida have Pirate Nation in a frenzy until Navy injures the entire team.

West Division

1. Memphis (11-1) Memphis 'delivers' another quality season and a trip to the title game to face Cincy.
2. Navy (10-2) Navy has a great year... so good in fact that Army signs up for the American.
3. Houston (12-0) Houston has a perfect season, but because everyone slept on them, they only finished 3rd.
4. Tulane (9-3) Tulane finally reaches the potential they showed two years ago.
5. Tulsa (9-3) Turns out Tulsa had plenty of talent, but needed a change in coaching.
6. SMU (0-0) SMU runs the table, but all games get vacated when the NCAA finds out they are still paying players via some mysterious scam called "Cost of Attendance".

It looked good, until I got to SMU, I don't see how they avoid a negative win total.

Compete, or win? And is an 8 win season that much lower than your expectations? That sounds like a very reasonable vegas line and a step in the right direction.

I can come up with about 50 that temple couldn't compete with for a full game. About 30 that temple can't compete with period

Considering we're out-recruiting you, you better name the 60+ ECU can't compete with

Do we have a lot of young, unproven players? Yes, unquestionably, but we have PLENTY of firepower.

Never heard of 75% of this list so it is pointless and makes me think you don't have the firepower. Backfire.
