Not surprised by the announcement.
bye bye tags
LOL. Ok
Pay me half of what tag makes and I can coach the talent at usf to 7 or 8 wins.
USF is gonna be tough this year

From what I have seen, Flowers is going to be a good QB. He reminds me very much of BJ Daniels. Hes actually a bit faster in his 40 time but Daniels had a better touch on the ball. With that said, Daniels Never had a running back like Mack. THe big questions is offensive line. If it is as much improved as as been reported, then some schools will have a rude awakening because Mack is gonna run all day if he gets light.
Once that happens, teams will have to account for him, which will open up a mobile QB to take off.
I like everything I have seen and can say I know were better than last year... but I still stick to a 6-6 season. The defense looks better and the offense is clicking, but like I said, everything is new and we will have some beginning of the season bumps to overcome.
The even better news is early reports are that Woulards appeal is looking good, which means we may have our pick of 4 star QBs to play. Both differrent styles but both bring alot to the game. I am feeling pretty confident at 6 wins and I think 7 is quite possible... the defense... its a beautiful thing to watch. Cant wait to see it in action.
I hope you are right.

Even if Woulard gets his waiver I don't see him playing until games 4 and 5 and while he is the better passer it will be interesting if he is a better all around QB to run this offense that demands running skills and decision making skills

Quinton Flowers named starter for USF
Does anyone know the basis of his claim for a hardship waiver? Outside looking in its easy to think he got beat out at ucla and wanted to transfer somewhere so he could play.

The reason isn't public yet. Could be a serious reason, could be bunk.

the real reason is becuase he was beat out... he coincidentally had a serious issue coincidentally when 5star freshmen josh rosen jumped him on the depth chart
but im sure usf is smart and will make it seem some other way

usf seems to have a history of being good at pushing these through. If its a family issue and needs to be close to home, doesn't it make more sense to transfer to UCF? He's from winter park 20 minutes away from UCF. But we have an established QB he most likely wouldn't beat out. Maybe the issue is that he needs a good shot at the NFL and to do that he needs to play lol.

Yes how things change in life. Now Woulard would not be a favorite to start next year. Flowers has improved as the year has gone by

Lol there's like a whole 2 UCF fans trashing him in this thread. Really don't see the need to drag up this thread. Actually seemed there were more positive comments overall.
Congrats again on the nice turnaround...you kicked our azz no doubt. Definitely been a tough season to take on our end of I-4. Good luck the rest of the way and looking forward to our re-build and the day we are both good at the same time. That can only be good for the AAC.

Means the UCF/USF game is gonna be tough!
And we are historically bad against mobile quarterbacks.
Flowers will still have to throw the ball... and he is unable to to complete 50% of his passes.
I do love this comment.

Agree. But most not just UCF fans doubted this young man, including USF fans that wanted him out after first few weeks.
I'm glad for the young man, he has been thru a lot in life and just kept working hard and believing.
