They are putting the finishing touches on the new turf. I love how it looks. The samw company did the practice field and the soccer field

I've always loved the Sun Bowl, but the tarped endzone needs to go. It's the only ugly site in the stadium. Rice has one and it's ugly too.

We don't have a tarp end zone. You're probably referring to the tarp that covers that entrance to the field.

I love the new field it's much brighter.

As ollie mentioned, there is no tarp in the Sun Bowl. The seats simply do not go completely around the stadium.

It is painted concrete. The game day locker rooms are under it and behind it is a small parking lot for big/long time donors. The parking lot is used for visiting team busses. The area above has a concourse that connects the east and west sides of the stadium. Here is the best picture I could find that somewhat shows this area.

These new turf's (LA Tech just installed a new one too) look really good. I love the Orange trim on your UTEP turf. The colors really pop.
